Yep...damn shame they don't do them here...would go if they did. Like you, saw RS at Heaven in '98 [think it's called HQ or something now] and so worth it. Hubby and I saw Orianthi, god, when she was like 15 or something at a showcase gig at a pub in Adelaide...blew us away. Have no doubt she and RS on stage together, doing what they do best, will be awesome. May have to ponder on a trip to Melb if they do a Sidewave there.

I think it's great that he's touring, but hope he does some club shows too.

I don't really want to pay $360 for two tickets to see him in a massive crowd full of drunk Green Day fans.

this is a week after I arrive in sydney for a year in oz. definitely happening. Not a big greenday fan but there's a few decent bands peppered in there - definitely enough to make it a good day.

If there are any my money would be either Syd or Melb. There is a 4 day break between those cities Soundwaves...only other day off is Sunday March 2nd in Adelaide between the Adelaide and Perth one. Naturally I'd prefer it to be Sun March 2nd as I live in Adelaide but think that's such a long shot not even worth betting on.

Update: AJ the promoter for soundwave replied to a tweet yesterday saying that Richie will be doing two sideshows whilst he is in Australia, one in Sydney and one in Melbourne. Not sure on the dates or venues yet but id guesstimate that Sydney will be on Tuesday the 25th and Melbourne on Thursday the 27th of Feb.

Should be officially announced in the next week or so.

Nice. Now to talk the wife into letting me go while she stays home and looks after the kids.
If anyone could hit me up with suggestions as to how I could pull this off, it would be appreciated. Bless ya's.
