Should be officially announced in the next week or so.
damn...so wishing it would be Adelaide for one of them...oh well.

Most of them are right though, Richie doesn't belong on the bill. He's been playing AC rock for the last 20 years. Seriously, Taking A Chance On The Wind on Soundwave? He'll need to come up with something better than an average acoustic cover of a Bon Jovi song that everyone wants Jon to sing. Unfortunately, I don't think he's realizing this and will try to impress people with Taking A Chance On The Wind. Besides, his backing band just isn't very good, even if he'd try to play Homebound Train it'd most likely sound shit anyway.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

New article about Soundwave.

http://m.cqnews.com.au/news/richie-s...tival/2154103/

This part jumped out at me. So now Richie wrote It's My Life, Wanted, and Lost Highway but co-wrote Bad Name and Prayer w/ Jon?

"As well as being the long-time guitarist for Bon Jovi, he is responsible for many of the band's biggest hits.

He penned It's My Life, Wanted Dead or Alive and Lost Highway and co-wrote Livin' on a Prayer and You Give Love A Bad Name with Jon Bon Jovi"

oh, I know... as much as I've always wanted to see him do solo gigs, I'm worried about him doing Soundwave. Promoters kept everyone waiting for the 3rd announcement too, and when Richie was basically the headline of that announcement it seemed to piss off a lot of people. Then again some people are always whining, and if they don't want to see Richie they can go see another band on one of the other stages instead of threatening to throw shit during his set.

Besides, I hate festivals like this so damn Richie better be worth it.

Can't be true, at least for It's My Life, as Jon has repeatedly stated that he wrote the "Like Frankie said I did it my way" line and had to box it through against Richie, so maybe Richie wrote the music, but not (all of) the lyrics...

Oh bollocks, we all know Max Martin is the real brain behind that song no matter what Jon says.

Yeah, but we don't know to what extent. I don't doubt he wrote most of the music, but the lyrics or every single word of them? We simply don't know...
