what i meant was that richie's mini tour had some nice moments but as a whole i consider it a big disappointment and a failure...there were highlights in some shows but i was expecting sth better from him...simple as that..i am a big richie fan but :
1.the backing session band was mediocre...and on top of that richie complimented them like they were 10 times better than tico and hugh for example...
2.he should/could have a better setlist, for gods sake who says???even if you like this song you can hear it in a bj show...for me the choise of who says proves that richie has lost a bit the touch with what's going on...
3.many mistakes through the performances for an experienced musician like richie and some akward live stage antics(sugar daddy anyone???)
4.aftermath is a pop-rock record imo, with some jamming which ends up repeatitive...so listening richie saying again and again that its all about artistic expression(and put down bj in a way)makes me feel like he is not as honest as he should be..
5.the lies about the poor sales in america...i realise he didnt want to admit it publicly but the way he promoted the last show in l.a. made him sound desperate...
6.the answer...the first time he played it in berlin and made a mistake it was cute...but afterwards when he couldnt remember his own song it was embarassing...too many mistakes...

richie should act as a vital member of bj and not like a hired gun who isnt happy being there...if he wants a different direction he should say it openly...jon may is a dictator sometimes but he isnt alone in the band,..

Even Joe Perry of Aerosmith sings her solo songs on the band's shows. Do not understand how the fans themselves reject Richie Sambora, yet you refuse the band, only JBJ the man, I hope you have your dose of Not Running Anymore and old habits as punishment.

The difference is that nobody believes Aerosmith is a Steven Tyler solo show, while many think Bon Jovi is one person.

Nobody in this thread is rejecting the idea of Richie singing different songs, we just know it's not at all possible.

This is the most ridiculous post I've read on this board for a while (and that really is saying something). Of course we don't reject Richie Sambora, have you noticed my username on here? I just know that there's no chance of getting those songs aged so I'm not kidding myself.

I’ve tweeted to ask him to do songs from his new solo album on this upcoming bj tour on the other day.
And now I have a second thought……. I wanted to hear his songs live on the tour, but I think that would be too harsh for him to do because apparently almost all of the US fans are not interested in him and his work.
I don’t think he is mentally weak, but do think he is not that strong because he couldn’t resist to do lots of alcohol, etc. and had got addicted to do those things, while many people in the similar circumstances (divorce, family member’s death, etc.) don’t do that.
I know it depends on the person, and everyone is not the same and doesn’t feel same way, and he got that hurt and damaged. But looking at other people who experienced similar tragedies, I think he is not mentally strong enough to control himself.
These days, he seems very healthy and happy.
So, point is that I don’t want him to get hurt deeply and too much by the american audience when he is excited to perform his songs at US shows. Otherwise, he could be back to that Richie who drunk and ate unhealthy foods too much and did something which caused him to get addicted and led him to rehab…….
I’m so worried about him……….
