A world away from what I watched earlier with the TD and 7YG performances from the other night. Richie is a real mixed bag at the moment.
Nowadays is a bad song, it sounds bad all the time.

I actually gained a little respect for Richie from that show. Letīs be honest, no matter how much some of us flame him (I am one of the worst), he does not have to do this show. There is no reason for him to be doing this show other than to fulfill a desire to play, or to fulfill his ego. Either way he is putting himself out there to be shot down or accepted.

I am not buying the whole itīs a metal festival thing, that is a shit crowd period. Half empty too, what is that? Aside from really early in the morning it should always be mostly full at a festival. It must be disheartening to someone like Richie to play to a crowd like that, but credit to him he was a pro in terms of attitude. Of course, the sloppiness is still alive and well and he can go from hot to cold in an instant, but ultimately he is the reason I picked up a guitar, and in my opinion he deserves better than that.

That is among the worst crowds I have seen, I would rather they pelted him with bottles of piss instead of just standing there like a bunch of flaccid cocks.

Crowd looks pretty normal to me for that time of the day. The 3-4 times I woke up that early to see the first band take on I can't even remember. Well - once it was the Murderdolls and they kicked ass...

Of course it's different in places like Glastonbury ...but pretty standard for most festivals I've ever been to.

Ah, he was the first act on. Right I didnīt know that so the half filled thing I retract. Still a bunch of cabbages though.

I agree with your post overall but being the first slot on the bill is not a good place to be. Even second or third...actually, I remember seeing Michael Monroe of Hanoi Rocks once open a festival. I made it easily yo third row and had to walk back cause the sound was shit. And he's a madman jumping and climbing all over the place and even had Vivan Campbell join him for a song. Yet hardly any reaction from the crowd. People were just staring and smiling...that's how it goes I guess. But he should NEVER be the first on the bill. He's too good and too big to open the day. Period. Third from last at around 4-5 would be perfect. Hope he considers that for Europe.....

That interview. Holy shit. 3:10 he can't even pronounce the name of his album. It's so sad to see.

Honestly, I wouldn't care about this or even about Jon's lame political persona if they still had it. If Richie would play/sing like in 2000 he could fart on interviews for all I care.

I really don't see the problem with that interview at all. I think all this is being blown way out of proportion.

Yeah. It sounds like something off a soundtrack to a bad 90s teen comedy.
