I just realized it's Glen Sobel on drums. Since they most likely won't want a third guitar there is only Chuck Garric to go

i know what i m gonna say may sound harsh to some but richies undisputed talents where truly highlighted only in bj...in very good song structures he co wrote, with a firm leader who pushed him, with a tight band, richie thrived in that environment even if he didnt feel happy being with bj anymore...
one more random thought, richie was saying how good his new band is while he promoted aftermath. and to me it had felt insulting after being in such a good live band like bj and having kicked so many asses to make such statement...3 years later the band backing him uo is totally new, noone stayed from that super group..anyway i like tha bass player not so much the drummer.

The problem is not his band, the problem is himself. I hope with the new album do take it very seriously.

Richie has serious problems when play the first chords beginning and the end... I do not understand, the guitar was faill (Takumi was wrong guitar), or he was blind ?

No it's everything in the clip. Band as well as Richie, it seems to be way too fast for a start. The thing that annoyed me most about that clip was the bass player just staring as the tablet or notepad or whatever it is with the notes on it. Maybe they didn't get much rehearsal time, but come on? It's not going to allow for much when things go wrong is it (Don't get me wrong, I'm not blaming the bassist for that performance). It's just that Richie and Ori must know so many top class musicians that would put together a killer band that didn't have the read the notes all the friggin time, but he keeps hiring these session guys. Get a proper band together, come on....

Knowing top class musicians is one thing, paying their salaries is quite another, LOL!

Just like the Bon Jovi Asian mini-tour, Richie doesn't have a record label to recoup his expenses from. That means he's not only restricted to low-budget musicians, but low-budget production, mechanical and technical support as well. He definitely got better sound and lighting at the third Brazil show, but he's still too reliant on effects pedals, and at times I can't hear Orianthi at all.

But thanks to you, I now realize that a big part of what's been so frustrating is that I've grown so accustomed to "top class" production when Bon Jovi is playing live.

Thanks to the improvements in staging and audio that resulted in a better-polished third Brazilian show, I can evaluate the role of the O in RSO more definitively.

I couldn't agree more that Orianthi should absolutely not be singing verses of Bon Jovi's most sacred songs, especially since she doesn't have auto-tuning to hide behind. I think it would be more useful to RSO for O to concentrate on singing what Richie used to sing for Jon more competently.

As for her guitar playing, I can't tell if she's supposed to be half of a lead-splitting team, like Joe Perry and Brad Whitford; or the designated backup, like James Hetfield or Izzy Stradlin. They should be doing a much better job of filling each other's "holes" -- especially since that's something Richie and Dave used to brag about being so good at.

The problem with RSO is that O is still coming across as -- well, nothing more than R's girlfriend, an alpha groupie who gets to have the best seat in the house and occasionally contribute a riff or verse.

That's a good thing imo! Sorry, couldn't resist.

Pretty much agree with your entire post. The expense since he left has go to be adding up. He's got it to spend but still - need to be realistic - don't see a return on this investment.
