Shepherds Bush in 2012 sold out within the hour, which hold 2k, and he still has a large and loyal following here. He could easily do somewhere like Hammersmith Apollo IMO which hold 5k.
While I agree about that sentiment in 2012 (that tour could've been a lot bigger commercially than what it was), but I believe he lost a good part of his Bon Jovi fanbase due to the way he left.

If we're using the 2012 analogy again, he sold out Amsterdam (Melkweg, 1,500 capcaity), so they're added another date and that sold out too. So overall sold out 3,000 tickets there really quickly. However, when he returned to the Netherlands to play in Tilburg in 2014, he played the venue of 2,200 capacity and that show did not sell out.

The only reason (IMO) to play bigger venues now is that they believe Orianthi has enough fanbase in Europe to compensate for Richie's lost fanbase. Which I don't think is the case, but I could be wrong.

With a new album and a little promotion, they can fill in given places like Shepperds Bush Empire... but on a tour without promotion as 2014 and without new album, is very difficult.

That's a good point. I get the feeling that the new album will get a lot more promotion than aftermath did, at least over here. He has already arranged to play at the Classic Rock awards (although they are in Tokyo this year, it's still UK based), so he will have them on side. Planet Rock still play him somewhat regularly (usually Ballad Of Youth) and they are really good at supporting new releases these days. The Bad Company tour will expose them to a potential new audience, so if he pulls those shows off well, it could be great for him.

I honestly don't think a lot of the fan base over here is really aware of how he left the band. In fact some people I've spoken to haven't even been aware that he was gone at all. It really wasn't made a big deal of in the press etc. Bon Jovi's media exposure here has dropped off considerably over the last few years and unless you follow fan pages like this one, which a lot of people don't have the time or inclination for, they are blissfully unaware of what's going on these days.

The crowds in Brazil certainly didn't seem to care...

I think the areas where dates were already announced or tickets sold will have the bigger issues with it. North America and Europe dates were already announced and/or sold for that leg so they'd be the audiences that would be turned off by going.

The Return of Quasimodo. With a Vengeance. And Djali's hairs. And rockstar shades.
