Why would the amount of likes generated/followers she has have anything to do with the validity of what she's saying? He absolutely has something to promote, he's on tour right nw working on an album. 24/7 no. Actual hype for what he's been working on for 3 years could be snowballed but fans feel left in the dark about it.

He (they) post a lot but it's of zero substance.

Q: You have Richie Sambora opening for you. That's something a little special wouldn't you agree?

Simon Kirke: Yes, Richie Sambora is an amazing guitarist and I understand that his wife is no slouch on the guitar as well.

a few YT vids from the same poster, including IBTFY (apparently filmed from a sinking Titanic!)

Fame is... when there's a tribute band although you haven't released a record yet!

Wow, what a difference from Leeds. Last night in Nottingham was like a completely different person! I don't know whether the Bad Company organisation has had words but Richie was on it! His voice was in the best shape I have heard for ages, no cracking on the higher notes. His guitar playing was great! didn't notice any bum notes and the Stranger solo was back to it's former glory! But more importantly Richie seemed perfectly sober, confident, clearly spoken, interacting well with band and audience and clear with his instructions to the band, they felt like a unit tonight. Decent amount of Jamming, but no weird extended guitar or vocal outros that threw the band off so many times in Leeds.

I'm not sure what happened, but this is not the same guy I saw in Leeds a few days ago!!

Ori was great again! The double blues punch of How Do You Sleep followed by Stranger was the highlight.

I've been critical of them doing the electric version of Prayer...but finally seeing it in person, I get it. It's a great end to the set, the whole crowd knows it and is singing along, which you wouldn't get with the acoustic version. I understand why they do it, especially when the audience is not their own. It's still not my favourite for them to do, bit I enjoyed it last night. Even Lay your Hands On Me sounded good.

I really don't like the version on I Got You Babe that they do...could definitely live without that. Other than that, no complaints at all. I was really expecting another car crash, but I couldn't have been more wrong!

Opened with a cover of The Beatles 'Let It Be' which was a goosebumps moment, that Richie often provides. This is the Richie I remember....

Really looking forward to tomorrow in Birmingham now!!

Definitely less Richie/Jovi fans in the audience last night, but they won them over and when they finished the majority of the crowd stood up to applaud! Lots of good comments from the people around me that weren't really aware of RSO at all....

Great to see Richie side stage for the whole of Bad Company too, singing along and air drumming! Love that he is still just a true music fan at heart!

Set List:
Let It Be
Lay Your Hands On Me
When Love Comes To Town
Heaven And Hell
Midnight Rider / Wanted Dead Or Alive
I Got You Babe
How Do You Sleep
Stranger In This Town
Livin' On A Prayer

Good review. Don't really get the number of covers in such a small set though.

Yes, I agree, I'd much prefer another Sambora solo track or two, (or even a RSO new track!!) but I guess they play what the audience will know. The majority will be clueless when it comes to Richie's solo stuff...and if they play too many BJ tracks they get criticized for that...

I understand the thinking behind playing familiar stuff but Richie needs to play his own material if he wants to entice new fans. There's enough quality songs off his solo albums that if played well, would impress people over clichéd covers like I Got You Babe.

I never get why someone leaves a band (same with Slash when he left GNR) and do those songs.

Also is Let It Be a great opener? Slow song?

I understand him playing BJ songs to a degree, he co wrote them etc, it's what people expect, but the other covers and lack of his own songs baffles me.

And to not play a new song is very strange. He/they are trying to drum up support for RSO - but are offering nothing new as a teaser.

Let it be is quite slow, and piano led, but it led nicely into the Lay Your Hand On me keyboard intro
