This is true. I honestly don't remember what any of her music sounded like, but I remember seeing her name on pop music stations long before she was ever involved with Richie. It's an unusual name; I noticed. She's probably had more solo airplay that Richie has. According to Wikipedia one of her singles went platinum in the US and Australia.

She sucks

Yeah, According to You got a lot of traction and she's had some success as a session/guitar player for hire. She wasn't plucked out of obscurity. No, she's not at the level a lot of popular artists are but she does have some pretty cool accolades.

David Geffen said that he released that album (one song went platinum) intentionally to date with the Michael Jackson This is It DVD. Good Marketing.

Oh look, it's the irrational and uninformed hate, again

I guess it will soon be her fault that Richie left the band and she is the reason Richie is such a sloppy player, too.

I have no problem people not liking her voice and neither do I have a problem with people disliking her playing stylewise. I also agree that she doesn't seem to have rehearsed the rhythm parts too well. But this is a new thing. She was super professional as a player before all this Richie saga happened. So if you want to go putting blame on somebody's door for both of them being out of practice you are going to have a hard time convincing me the right door is hers.

Saying she can't play is just silly and reeks of uninformed and ignorant. Female guitarists get all the hate because of men with inferiority complexes. Finding quotes of her being a bad player is not hard. It doesn't make it so.

Theres a reason she is normally a session musician - she has no personality.

Those set lists - wow - looks like a bad Bon Jovi/Michael Jackson tribute act.

Orianthi is great, but they say they have magic together... nevertheless I do not see this, except when they played Storybook Love and Purple Rain, some flashes of magic here.

They are disconnected, Orianthi seems very shy, and Richie is extremely rampant and overacting.... is that they do not pay attention to their performances on youtube?

I fall closer to what you're saying than the Ori hate train but I don't understand if she's professional, why is she sticking around? If he's the leader it's his onus to whip the band into shape and learn the songs but the Bon Jovi/solo songs haven't changed in the year or two she's been with him. They've done those songs ad nauseam, it's surprising she hasn't picked up on them yet. This could be where Luke Ebbins was needed the most.

I don't want to make this a gender thing, I've seen women here who have had problems with her too.

To anyone acting like a hurt child because Sambora left Bon Jovi and left you as a consequence. Remember, if people don't know his solo songs is because he couldn't promote his solo stuff.

He needed to please Jon Bon Jovi, the CEO of a major corporation for DECADES. Isn't Richie that was promoting his album and got everything cancelled because the CEO wanted to make more money with a SHITTY album? **** you and give Richie a chance and show some ****ing support.
