Compared to so many other countries aussie still has it good.

They have been very close to coming back here the last tours and we did get them for the Universal appeal and Rumba. The more they keep touring the more hope there is for us.

What would truly suck would be living somewhere like Singapore, South Africa and numerous other countries who probably dont have a hope in hell of the band ever going there again.

They will always tour US, Canada, Europe and Japan because they are successful in those countries and 90% of their album sales is there.
When was BJ´s last 3-4 albums platinum in Australia or some other country ??? I´m not a pessimist but I don´t think next tour will include Australia if album again flops there.

It's kind of a chicken and egg situation isn't it? They no longer go to the places wher they're not sucessful but they're not sucessful in those places because they don't go there anymore. Why was These Days such a worldwide hit? Sure it was a brilliant album but they went to 42 countries and sold big numbers in markets they no longer visit. If they want to sell 10 million plus albums again they've got to tour more then 8 countries, pretty much the primary reason why they only sell 4-5 million albums nowadays.

I would be fairly confident that with a tour coinciding with their 25th anniversery and a Greatest Hits album they will go to place like Australia, South America, Scandinavia and other European countries like France, Italy, Spain, Belgium etc. again and concentrate less of the US market.

Correct. I hope they'll go to those places again, but i have my doubts. The new GH package + the GH Tour could be a new chance for BJ to rule the universe again, but im just not sure if thats what they want. Staying home is a lot more convenient and for sum reason they might not be as ambitious as they used to be. I cant really blame them though...

Don't get me wrong, I'm not envisaging 150 shows on the tour. I could see it being as long as the HAND tour (about 80-90 wasn't it?) but not including 3 legs of North America. If you removed the second or third leg of US shows and played those gigs in the neglected places they would still be playing the same amount of shows over the same period of time.

I can understand where they were coming from with the HAND tour. Re-establishing their success and relevance in the US market was obviously extremely important to Jon, even at the cost of sacrificing success elsewhere, but with a greatest hits album, I just don't see them caring that much whether the album sells a 500,000 or 2,000,000 in the US. It's not new material so it probably wouldn't have the same importance to him (them) and it would then allow them to bring the celebration (nobody say nostalgia) to those long forgotten places as, I'm sorry to say, a thank you and farewell. Plus, they will probably have a hell of a lot of making up to do to the international market after the promotional events for Lost Highway.

The tours have been taking a lot less countries since before HAND though.

Who knows maybe some other countries will get lucky - I think its safe to say that Europe Japan and US are pretty much the countries you 'know' they will tour.
