Well, after these last tours, I've lost my faith in a really worldwide Bon Jovi tour again.. they just don't care about more shows. It's all the same: almost all concerts in US, some concerts in the largest Europe's city and Japan. And that's all.

During their last tour, many important people on brazilian showbusiness (the same people who brought us Rolling Stones, U2, Oasis and others big concerts in 2006) worked hard to includes Brazil and South America on Bon Jovi's tour, but their road managers just said they haven't any plans (and time in their schedule) to play here. But they was all able to do + than 70 concerts in US..

We got a Rolling Stones free concert to more than 1 million people, U2 give us 2 big stadium concerts, Aerosmith will play here in april with all tickets sold.. but we just can't get a BJ concert here since 1995.

Then, no expectations this time.

I agree its not that Bon Jovi couldnt do hugely popular shows anywhere in the world its just that for whatever reason they dont want too.

I have no expectations either.

Bon Jovi would sell out the biggesty colliseum here (about 30'000 capacity) in no time at all, there is an amazing deman to bring them here. Mana, A mexican Rock band, will playu 4 shows here, all sold out. The promoters here go crazy when adding extra nights, because we just eat up the rock.

I'm beginning to wonder if the plan isn't to let this new record come out and build up over the summer and take it out on the road in the fall, while letting IDJ release a new greatest hits package for the holidays. Hearing these new snippets convinces me that this is a really good BJ record, not an art project .

As for shows I don't know guys, I think it will come down to how much time Jon is willing to commit to being on the road. Last time he gave the promoters an end date and stuck to it, I can't see him being any different this time. However now that they know him a bit better, I can see them rearranging where the band plays, trying to spread it out across more of the world this next time. I'm betting there won't be that many more shows, It will be a tough sell I think to get him to do more than 100 if they add in SA and Australia we in the US and Europe may have to do with a few less shows.

Maybe I'm being a bit pessimistic, but I don't see them doing another tour so soon. Maybe a few shows here and there, but a full fledged tour? I doubt it. Plus they're releasing the new album after the GH album, so then would they tour again? I think that's expecting a bit much, but I'd love for them to prove me wrong!

Oh yeah. I don't get why Jon (or the other band members) are so much into touring the US and being succesful over there. Is it simply because its so convenient?
I am aware that this has been dicussed before though...
