What's to worry about? If it takes that long, it takes that long. It's already been 10 years, 2 more won't make a difference. I'd rather wait that long for a solo album than have another band album and have to wait even longer for a solo album.
I know you're saying that from the point of view of not being a fan of his solo stuff, so 2 years to do that = 2 years with no new Jovi stuff, but if Richie does an album, Jon's bound to do one in that time too.
Or maybe that's not where you're coming from.
