I saw Plant open for The Who last summer at Madison Square Garden. Hardly anyone in the audience paid him any attention or seemed to know who he was. When he sang Going to California at the end of his set all of a sudden people woke up. Apparantly most people are very "one band" oriented and don't want to hear anything "outside the box" .

totally agree with this. i don't see the point in pigeon-holing yourself into one band's music. i'm huge bon jovi fan but i listen to a lot of other bands/styles. would love to see plant but it won't happen.

difference between fact and opinion

and fact: (whether we think they are great or not today) both aerosmith and bon jovi turned their back on their harder sounds (or bluesy for Aerosmith) to make more radio-friendly records

BJ seem to be rediscovering their rock side live
Aerosmith going to record a bluesy album a la their roots

puff boy
You need to grow up and stop being so defensive and bitter. Man your worse than a bird on her periods.

Joviscout, you don't exactly hide your opinion when you don't like someone. Ex. Elvis, Bruce...etc.

I don't think Tom is defensive and bitter. He is just stating what he thinks, not unlike what you do time and time again. If you don't like it, skip it. But don't tell someone they need to grow up especially when all you want to do is talk about how fat Elvis was. Not exactly mature.
