I really hate to say this, because they are having a shit year all around, but Jon sounded the worse I have ever heard him. I though maybe it was the sound on my laptop but after reading here - guess not. He started out nasal and then just beat. This, I expected to be stronger since it was the first show back after a nice break. David was his normal self and to me, Phil was the best part of the gig. He'll never be Richie but gotta give him ups for last night. I almost dosed off when Jon said the "Richie" remark, I sat straight up and then realized what was up. Nice tribute to Tico and the crowd shouting his name was pretty cool.

C'mon people. I've seen worse versions of Always with all members of the band present. It wasn't bad considering the adverse circumstances around the band. I do think, however, that the break in the tour Jon could have done some training with his voice. He struggled at intermittent times and was hitting other parts.

You gotta give them credit for going on without a sick drummer and an clothing-lover guitarrist. I haven't seen the full show, but reading some reviews makes me think you watched a Miley Cyrus concert or something. You're being beyond harsh. I've been to the Lisbon show and his voice sounded great live. Some friends told that his voice is better live than in the videos, and it seems to really be the truth. Of course he's been better, but saying that he was "horrible" or something is really crazy to me.

What were you expecting? Lisbon 2011 again? Come on.

Just put RiR and compare it with iTunes Festival 2012, to say something, it's a different story. It sounded really bad IMO.

Hmm I'll have to give it a listen. I saw Matchbox Twenty in May though and Rob's voice was excellent, I'm surprised if it's declined so rapidly, unless he's ill or something.

Same here but I just watched She's So Mean and he definitely seemed to be struggling at times. Bad night maybe.....
