That's what I said to a friend, the guy sang 27 songs a few nights ago (awesome setlist, btw, sucks that they're not coming to Argentina), he must be burnout.

And please give I'll Sleep When I'm Dead a rest, that song sucks SO bad.

The setlist was as lame as the performance.

It's definitely nowhere close to being the worst version of Always ever, even for this tour, but it's still pretty bad. He sounds like he's singing underwater in the final chorus. Pretty much par for the BWC campaign.

Not but can he really reach any high notes without sounding like that?

I agree, it wasn't THAT bad, we've seen some shitty Always this tour.

Talking about Sofia.

Bon Jovi is well know for be one of the greatest LIVE acts in the world right now. Is not a well recognized music band on the studio and on the paper. But live, is a world-class act.

The band.

Their music quality is exceptional on a stage. A closed arena, a small place or a stadium.

Music quality.

The quality came from their world-class musicians, members who are playing, composing and recording for 30 years.

The same musicians.

Removing one key musician is like removing a part from an engine. You can replace with an alternative, but the engine will never be the same. Will just be 'okay', but the driving feeling will be seriously different.

Removing two musicians will compromise the entire engine, and the entire car experience.

The world-class live band who were Bon Jovi is with Jon, Tico, David and Richie, who were worked for 30 years (20 without Alec, who wasn't a really key musician; if were the case, he would still on the band, another, or even have a solo career).

Bon Jovi without 2 of their 4 key members is NOT Bon Jovi, the world-class live act that the audience know.

What is doing Jon is remarkably. He's trying to compensate this, for the fans or for the audience. But he's sacrifying their reputation. And it's too dangerous for the future.

The right thing to do, with a missing part, is trying to go on with an alternative. With 2 missing parts, is get out of the road and try to fix the car. Or at least one of the missing parts.

Cheers.

Sorry, this just makes feel bad for you. If you think he sounded good in 2008 and 2011, all I can say is youtube some videos from 1989 - 1996.

That's not what he's saying. It's "As good". 2008-2011 were a welcome surprise after the dreadful 2006 tour, and 2008-2010 showed clear signs of him regaining his vocals quite a bit. Most of that is gone now though.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

I was just searching for Bon Jovi's Rock in Rio performance and stumbled onto metallica's set from the day before. Now, that's a band that has aged well, I know some people here hate them but, there's just something about them. The singer doesn't have the voice he used to, in fact he sounds cringe worthy on some songs, the band doesn't have the same energy they used to either, but they sell the songs. They really have enthusiasm when they play every time and it shows they love being there. On a good day Bon Jovi could be competitive with them, but sadly that's not the norm.

Don't even know why this comparison came about here, it was just what I was thinking at the momen.....

Agreed.

The chemistry of the band is totally different without Sambora and Torres, but I thought they did as good a job as could be expected.
