I think Jon is still trying to get the money to buy a football team because that is the only way he doesn't have enough money already. And I have no problem with the fans who want to pay the big bucks to go, but I don't have the big bucks. And because I don't like just a guitar and singing I wouldn't go even if I had the big bucks.

He did one in Nashville which is about a 6 hour drive and it broke my heart that I didn't have the money to go. But I just can't justify that amount of money for one trip for entertainment.

Maybe I'm crazy, but I've kind of gotten the impression that he's dropped that because he got burned. Just a few comments he's made here and there. Again, I could be crazy--wouldn't be the first time I was wrong about something!!

I hope he has dropped the idea. But there are still a lot of current pictures and stories on the internet with him and football owners/coaches.

I was just trying to think of a real need for money for him to do the RT. I guess you could say it was for the fans, but a lot of fans are priced out of RT. I'm sticking with he should be resting his voice more.

Is it a NEED just a CAN? The law of supply and demand? He can charge those outrageous prices because people will pay them. Also, he's still friends with football coaches and owners and it's still his biggest hobby... that doesn't mean he's still eyeballing owning a team after the last debacle. Or maybe he is. *shrugs*

As a singer he needs to train his vocals constantly if he wants to get back to performing in a solid way. Just stop singing wouldn't improve anything. Not touring the world for two or three years and hence avoiding the constant strain might be helpful, but the 3 or 4 RT shows per year are no problem here.

That is actually a really nice performance of I'll Be There For You. Yes, it's a little worrying with the higher notes as times, but the more laid back version of that song really works (unlike the This Left Feels Right version). Jon's voice sounds good for the lower stuff, the stripped back acoustic stuff definitely suits him better these days. Maybe we will see more of these fan type shows and less full band shows down the line...

I'm not a big fan of these stripped back performances. They just come off lifeless to me.

Doing a handful of acoustic shows per year with no yelling won't hurt him. If anything it keeps him practicing in the off season.

The price is extraordinary, yeah, but its supply and demand. If he included rare b-sides and not the almost same set list each time it would be far more appealing to me.

Prices are a disgrace. I wouldnt go out of principle. I mentioned it to the wife when it was announced and she said we should go - I said no chance - wouldve cost us nearly £4000.00 - how can you justify that. I couldnt.

Millionaire x 100 charges 1000s for songs that dont sound as good as they did.

He should be doing these for free or maybe a charity donation.

Complete kick in groin for hardcore fans who have followed the band for years but at least housewives are happy. I havent seen many blokes in the crowd to be honest. Might be 100s but Ive yet to see a few.
