Default Rumba Sydney

I was just wondering who here is going to Rumba in Sydney. I'm not quite sure who I am going with at the moment, and I have a feeling that everything is going to fall through and I am going to end up being by myself! HAHA! I went with two people to the Melbourne concert and ended up getting wrist bands, and then they wanted to sit through the whole concert... so I stood for four hours by myself and made new friends! HAHAH!!

Also... on the Rumba website it says that people who get there before 8am get turned away. Well... at Melbourne last year they said people there before 9 would be turned away... I got there dead on 9 and there were already hundreds of people there! I'll be on the train at 6 to be there by 6:30! We didn't get to Rumba til after 10 last year and it sucked bigtime!!

Anyways... that is all!!

I plan to get there no earlier than 7pm....no way in hell would I sit through all the other crap on show. I got to Melbourne at 6.45pm for the Colonial concert.....I left Sydney at about 4.45pm, that was a pretty tight schedule but it all worked. It meant I was only in Melbourne for 13 hrs, hey when you can pull that off I say you're a genius.

I'm going to Sydney and Melbourne Rumba! Don't worry about what they say about lining up ect, all venues say that. They said that about Universal last year (as you both said) i got there about 12:45 in the morning and had no problem. I did hear the GA line had to get up and move though.
As far as Rumba goes i'm not sure how it all works yet if it's all on one stage (how crap with that be?! Sitting for 10 hours full of crap waiting for Jovi allll day!) or if different bands are on different stages, who knows??
It's getting pretty close though and i'm very excited!!

I went to Rumba last year... and there are only two stages... one is the main stage that is inside the actual Stadium, and the other is the Pepsi Max stage, which has newer acts that aren't as big as the people performing on the main stage!

You end up with about 10-15 minutes between acts while they strike and reset the stage for each performer, but they have comedians, TV celebrities etc who come out and keep the crowd happy! Last year they had two stages that were on a massive turntable, so while one band was performing they could reset it for the next band. This was really only necessary when they have full on bands... like Bon Jovi!!

It was still a great day last year. I only got my ticket the night before the show as I wasn't really that keen on going! I'm glad I did though, as it was just one major party for 10 hours!!

Oh well.. thats all I know.. and who knows if it will be the same this year!

Well, I hope what you say is true, about the atmosphere that is. Then again, at M-One, which was the same venue and a similar festival, just being in the crowd for the whole day and watching video clips in between acts was good fun. I'm hoping for the same at Rumba before we get some real music ie Bon Jovi!
