I will be SHOCKED if the band plays Rocklahoma. Not there's anything wrong with Rocklahoma, but I don't see Bon Jovi playing it.

I can't see it either. And there is something wrong with Rocklahoma. It's in Oklahoma in July. Hell would be more comfortable.

I'll believe it when I see it announced. Until then, this has no validity as far as I am concerned. I'm sure a shit load of promoters contact Jovi every year because they bring in crowds and $$.

That's a hair metal festival isn't it? I don't think they'd ever do it, they try very hard to distance themselves from that scene.

From what people have said so far, I guess I'll just not believe it for the moment(I don't have a clue about that sort of stuff).

But they are playing a festival in Milwaukee in June though aren't they?

They're playing both Jazz Fest in New Orleans and Summerfest in Milwaukee this year. I'm going to post the links for all 3 below. As I see it, Rocklahoma isn't in the same league as Jazz Fest and Summerfest.

Had Rocklahoma existed back when Jovi was young, they probably would have played it. It just seems unlikely now.

This is - in my opinion - the best statement in this thread LOL.

Just clicked that Rocklahoma link.

1. It looks way too small (judging by the other artists on the bill.

2. Surely being lumped in with these kind of has-beens/never-were's hair bands is what Bon Jovi have tried to so hard to avoid for the last 20+ years?

Okay JKKDARK you got your laugh. For those that don't know the nature of JKKDARK's posts, this is a joke. It's another one of his lame attempts to try to say that Bon Jovi are in the same league as these less successful hairbands and that they are washed up.
