I think all the aussie BJ fans are waiting on tenterhooks for this announcement...one way or the other. In nearly every interview I've read or heard, Jon has said that the tour would start in Australia in December. As you state above, more recently, both he and Richie have said that Rumba is a promo thing and they will be back. The thing that a lot of people o/s have misunderstood re: Rumba is that if this is indeed the only aussie part of the tour, then it would be nice to have that stated officially....especially now that the dates for Japan have been announced. It's very hard to know whether to go and buy tickets for Rumba or to wait...and harder still for the fans who don't live in NSW, VIC or QLD.
Looking at the dates for Japan, I kind of feel that unless Australia [and maybe NZ and SE-Asia] are pencilled in for say late Mar - early April, it doesn't really look promising. Not being pessimistic...just realistic.

That MTVe competition is for Dec. 8th. [the Melb. Rumba]...someone asked at BJ.com and they replied that the competition was valid but there had been a typo with the dates...so there is NO special gig on the 7th.

Yeah, that's exactly what I'm waiting on, cos if they are not coming officially, I'll HAVE to go to Rumba anyway as it'll be the only chance to see them I guess.

Default "saving money for if they do a real show"

HELLO!! They are coming to Australia... what more do you want?! I am going to Rumba to see them... fair enough there are some other acts I am interested in aswell but I solely paid my $94 for BJ! I would pay $494 to see the band sitting in the gutter if I had to!!

Who cares if you have to put up with a bunch of teenagers during the day... god forbid you might have a little fun while you are waiting for the real show to begin. I went to Rumba last year as a last minute thing. I brought my ticket the night before, only coz I had nothing else to do the next day! It was an awesome day, even though I couldn't stand half the acts that performed. The atmosphere was worth the money you spend on the ticket!

Also... if you were a real fan, you would go to both Rumba and the tour shows if they came back to perform. I know I would. I was contemplating driving from Canberra to Melbourne, then through to Brisbane and back to Sydney for all three Rumba performances, but it's simply not possible. Trust me... if I could I would! I drove to Melbourne last year for their concert and waited for 7 hours in the wonderful Melbourne weather and it was all worth it! If they do come back for a full blown tour set, then I will be back in that line waiting for my ticket!!

Anyways... that's my two cents!

Kelly
