Rumoured support for the UK and Ireland

gone are the days of BJ being associated as part of the monsters of rock...

rock n roll is meant to have an attitude still - Springsteen's music has in some ways become more poppy, but live on stage he's still "a prisoner to rock n roll"...

my main question is why don't BJ just tour without support acts???? It's not a silly question since springsteen hasn't had a support act for him for a long long long time (if ever consistently), mark knoppfler, bad company... etc... all these bands do concerts where just they play...

i'm not saying ditch support acts and get band to play 4-5 hour shows (though obviously i'd like that) but if they're going to do 2:20 hours, why not just do it without a support act... plus in the UK everyone can then catch their train or coach home without having to wait till 3am or 8 am as I have had to do many times in the past...
