Default Rumours: Cinderella to open for Bon Jovi in Europe

Aloha !

To be honest I'm not even sure it's true, or just if the deal will work out at all.

However, Cinderella are touring for their 25th anniversary and are doing a show in London on June 25, the same day Bon Jovi plays London. They're playing in Moscow when Bon Jovi plays Helsinki, so I wonder if they follow the same pattern Bon Jovi does for June.

Honestly though, I can't see it happening. Cinderella are glam metal and I don't think Jon wants a band that is everything Jon no longer wants to be. Anyone else know anything regarding Cinderella?

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

Is Cinderella playing anywhere in London or also the same Hyde Park festival as Jovi?

And I agree with you Seb, Cinderella as a band has an image that Jon has been wanting to get rid off for the last 20 years. However, for Jon to stop giving a shit about things like this and have Cinderella open for them would be a great treat for the fans. And you can look at things from a different perspective. For casual fans, Jovi and Cinderella are two bands that came from the same era, but if you look at them today and compare them, casual fans could easily see how Jovi is much more releavant, better looking, better playing and etc.

It irks me that JBJ scoffs at the fact that he was a part of the whole hair metal era...don't be ashamed of it - embrace it. Unlike a lot of the other bands of that era, Bon Jovi survived which is a credit to them...but there is no reason to pretend like it didn't happen.

I would love for this to happen but would be surprised if it did. You never know though, they could do it to help an old mate out. Didn't Skid Row play a couple of shows with Bon Jovi when they reformed with Johnny Solinger and Phil Varone?

If they play Hyde Park they wouldn't really be "Bon Jovi support act" in the usual sense of the word, as they will be many artists on the bill and they will probably end up on a different stage. So its quite possible for them to be there and it would have no impact on Bon Jovi whatsoever.

i was just saying that, bon jovi shouldn't be ashame of being a hair band, because of they look at the peers from back then, they will see how they are relevent and they didn't need reality t.v show to do it um... Bret Michaels

That would be just cool. And I don't think image would be an issue. Whatever music Cinderella play, they and Jon have history, hell, Jon discovered them, and I guess he and Tom are still buddies. Anyhow, please don't bring Kid Rock to Europe!

When you name "Hair Metal", the first band that comes to mind is Bon Jovi. I highly doubt Jon is trying to hide anything, everybody know it.

I guess Jon doesn't like Hard Rock music anymore, that's why he doesn't choose these bands as opening acts. When was the last time it happened? 1995?

Best regards,
the Sexx

I hope it's not true. It also seems highly unlikely and a coincidence that Cinderella will be in the same cities.

Then again, I'm not really a fan of any hair metal bands as Sexx likes to call 'em.
