I'm not saying there's something wrong with being prepared, but saving money for a tour that will start over 2 years...

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan
It always starts at the same point: we are tpaying together...it ends at the point: I am paying most....at least a big part of the hotels and the flights and some tix so yes, sorry I am a too much of a giving mum.
Most of the time we all pay our own concert tix, but when the tourfund is empty mom pays at least for Fleur her hotel and travelling, and mine if needed. So why not saving. Most easy way and not spend it on things I don't need! It's clever and not obsessed, others save for cars or going out or whatever!

I know I want to go to a number of shows the next time BJ will be in Europe, but I'm not saving up money yet... I have more important things to save it for... Or would have, provided I had some money to be saved.

But all extra is going on travelling anyways it seems

If I am in the UK in 2005, which may very well happen yet (read Ashes Series ) maybe there will be a show or two on then. But it's ages away, so I'm not thinking about it much at all right now.

I am willing to do several shows the next tour, but if they do some promo at all I would love to see them too. So saving is the best way to make it possible.
Second thing is. I am also studying, planning a trip to Australia and want to visit some friends, if I don't save there is no money when there is a tour....

Well, if I understand exchange rates ok and given the cost of living here, the trip here won't sting you like some places in the world will.

Too bad the opposite applies when I travel from here.

I know, but I still need an open plane ticket, and I am used to luxery so .... it will cost me a bit. If you come overhere, it will cost you a lot....

Australia is my choise cause this is the cheapest of the trips I want to do... USA would be much more.....

Yep, I've started saving. I actually have $550 in my savings account right now... I'm interested in saving up for a car... and I also wanna get a new digital camera, plus an Ipod... but I *think* it will go towards Bon Jovi

I plan on doing an exchange with a European university (cuz I love it so much there!) and plan on travelling through Europe to catch some shows!
So, I'm definetely saving up my money!

I am always trying to save, but find coming to the end of the month I always have to dip into my savings!! I prefer to save for my trip to Australia in January at the moment than for concerts that I don't know when they'll take place. Nearer to the time I'll start saving, I hope to at least see a Giants show the next time around and more in Europe.
