Ah come on, don't we all want Bon Jovi to finally beat Rolling Stones and U2 on the biggest tours of the year charts??? i'm just kiddin'....i'm sure jon doesn't give a shit. i bet he doesn't even know how much the tickets cost, Tico is playing golf, Dave is screwing his new girlfriend and Richie is in rehab. Nobody cares about Hugh anyway and Paul Korzillius probably wants a biggers hare of the cake so, yes, I guess Aeg Live decides alone. i'd be really happy if the shows weren't sold out.

I'm going to play Devil's Advocate here. If fans are willing to pay assinine prices to scalpers or to the re-seller market...why shouldn't the guys doing the actual work onstage get in on the action and make some of that money for themselves?

Neither the band, nor the promoters will ever see anything wrong with the current pricing structure as long as the venues sell out and the re-seller and "underground economy" for concert tickets flourish. In a way...we fans help set these prices.

Morality in business is a nice concept...sadly...it rarely trumps the bottom line.

As others have said...it is hard to judge the Bon Jovi ticket pricing structure by these one-off shows they are playing...we'll have to see where the prices go for the next full on tour.

Trish

Let's just say, the average ticket price is $150 (and it's more than that). This place holds 20,000 people. That's $3,000,000 per show. So for 10 shows, they're gonna make $30,000,000. Hey, tours are expensive, no doubt. But when your gear's all in one building for 10 nights, that cost goes WAY down. Jon - Have some class man. You could charge $50 a ticket, make $10,000,000 for a week and half worth of work.

I'm skipping these shows on principle alone.
Everything is expensive when you can't afford it, huh?

But, sorry to admit, u got a point there. There's no limit to greed. Everyone should finally see it, it's all about money. And making even more money. And then some more.

The lowest price is now $61.50. At that price I'd go.Trish makes a good point about the ticket sellers. The highest price I have paid for any show was $200 and it was well worth it. Then again that just me.

I guess it's all a personal preference. I've paid about $100 to see the band before, but I wouldn't spend $200 to see Britney Spears do a 20 minute lap dance routine with me.

Nobody is worth that much money to me.

Holy shitballs, has hell frozen over???? We actually agree on something.

Painstaking as it is, I see where you're coming from. It certainly DOES appear to be all about the money, with this album anyways. I've always defended Jon for his charity work, which he does do quite a bit of. I've given him the benefit of the doubt when others said it was all for publicity. And I STILL won't take that away from him. However, the more I read, and the more I see what has happened with all these promotions and ticket prices, it seems that Jon could give a frog's fat ass for John Q Public who have given him everything he has (not to take away anything from his hard work, but without us, Jon would still be working at Kinney's Shoes.)

I was talking to my dad last night about this. He took me to my first Bon Jovi concert 20 years ago, and has gone to a few more with me since. He's always liked their music. We talked about taking the ride down to Jersey for one of the shows. When I told him the ticket prices, his response was the same as mine - "What an asshole!"

It sure seems so. But lets not make a habit of it.
