I think even the most devoted fans should draw the line somewhere instead of pouring in more and more cash. or does everyone really think everything is worth what charged for?

Nah, people pay it because they think they are being loyal to the band by attending the gigs. The organisers and performers, however, are laughing all the way to the bank at the fans' gullibility.

At the end of the day, a gig is just one night. You don't have to go to loads.

It comes down to what you as an individual can afford. If you can stump up a grand to see several shows, or just a couple of hundred to get you to a venue, pay for the ticket and an overpriced T-Shirt then hey, there ya go. Both people will see one of the worlds best bands play.

The music business if fickle, as Jon's let us all know.

I'll keep going to shows until I can't afford it and then I'll accept that the music business is too cash hungry. Until then I'm happy.

Its not just about affording things. I could easily pay some 500$ for a gig, but sure won't be doing that. It's about greed. Sure, some people can and will pay, but there are just as many just as devoted fans who for reason or another won't pay those ridiculous prices. Bands like BJ just keep asking for more, and once they get it, they as even more. Lazy ****s just aim to maximize profit while minimize amount of gigs.

worlds best band? that must be a joke!

You are assuming Jon, Richie, Tico and dave sit there and discuss ticket pricing and then make the final decision. We can't assume that; we'd have to walk up to Jon and ask him straight.

ONE OF THE world's best bands I said.

At least they never wrote a song about how tough it is to make it being a blue collar worker.

If u ask me, it's if not all but mostly about Jonand his business associates. Rest of the band will go like sheep where he tells them to. Ok besides Rich. We all know where he went.

and my mistake, I stand corrected.

That's what I thought.

Personally I paid about £55 for my ticket for the 1 concert that I went to last summer, and I think it was well worth it. The ticket itself of course was £45, and then a ticketmaster charge, and a further £5 for shipping - and it was gold circle, normal tickets were about £30. I think that is pretty fair when Madonna is charging £80 for the cheapest ticket, from what I've seen.

As for these promotional events, then yes you can expect they will always be more expensive because they are often smaller shows, and in the case of the Jersey shows, as mentioned, it is more than likely the venue trying to make a quick bit of profit after their building costs.
