I can't comment on a show in Chile as I've never done shows in South America. However, I've been to 2 shows in Montreal and 7 shows in Europe. I'd trade most of my U.S. shows for those 9 shows. I've definitely caught some really good shows here, but I've also been to a LOT of cookie-cutter shows. Quite frankly, after having done shows in Europe, I don't understand why anyone from there wants to come here for shows. Our ticket prices are higher, our shows are shorter and most of our setlists are repetitive. I guess if you want to combine sightseeing with shows it makes sense, but if it's all about the shows, stay in Europe!

The travel between shows can be exhausting - that holds true for travel within the U.S. as well internationally - but once you're at the next show, you tend to forget how tired you were. Good old adrenaline kicks in, and it's time to rock!

Of course, it worths it. It's an amazing experience, it doesn't feel the same as being in your 'home' but it worths every single minute of staying awake

I've seen them in a couple of different countries and would definitely recommend it, saw some different cities and some sights while I was visiting the country. I did decide early this tour that if I go again I will sack off the UK shows and go elsewhere .

Ezearis, for what I've followed The Circle tour through videos and stuff, you can't compare with Argentina and Brazil audience wise, but time's getting short and they're not announcing an extra date for Brazil, so maybe is not going to happen. You should decide very quickly.

That's why I asked, I need to make up my mind like NOW.

I've been to the USA several times to see them too, but following them in Europe was something else. You get to visit a lot of nice places and at night go to a BJ show. What else can one ask for ??
As you may know (or not) several of us from this board went to Europe together in 2011 for 7 of the last shows of the tour. Some of the group was European or British but there were 5 of us from the US and 2 from Canada. Not all of us went to all of the shows but a core group of us did.

I have been a fan since 1989 and with that single European trip heard songs that they just don't play here. It was an incredible trip and we all got pretty much everything we wished to hear. I only wish I could do it again.

So to answer your question, going to another country can be great. But I think you have to make sure that country is a place that has a history of getting rarities. I live in New Jersey and Jon does (sometimes) throw us a crumb that people simply don't get across most of the rest of the US. Otherwise I would recommend going to Europe.

Aloha !

Seeing a show in another country is only worth the hassle if you combine it with something else you'd like to see in that country. If you travel solely for the show, and Jon feels like screwing you over you've pretty much spent hundreds of dollars on something you wound up not enjoying in the end. Some cities are supposed to get a fantastic show, but I've seen plenty of average shows at "special" places and fantastic shows in average places. A crowd might make a show better, but in the end the show in Milan of this tour still had at least 90 minutes of Jon zoning out.

Though some of the excitement beforehand is actually hoping for the best, but if you wind up getting the exact opposite the ride home will be long and disappointing. I still remember everyone's faces after the show in Dusseldorf 2011, yet do remember the excitement in Mannheim as well. So whether it's worth it to see a show in another country is up to what you want to get out of the trip. Personally, I would never, ever spent over 200E/300$ solely on a concert. Bon Jovi, and especially Jon, have performed too many average shows over the last few years.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

Default Other countries

I am from Scotland and have personally seen Bon Jovi in America, Dublin and now Milan. I would recommend seeing them in another country if you can afford it. With flights, hotels, tickets etc it can get expensive.

They are playing in my home country tonight, but I personally preferred going abroad now - think I have seen them enough in Scotland - always good to see what the other audiences are like and to see other countries and cities.
