Default Setlist Circle tour

Do you think that Jon can sing for example Always, Dry county and other difficult songs? I hope that his voice will be better on tour than now but I think this songs won´t be on setlist. But more rarities like Wild is the wind or Stick to your guns could be on this tour...so, I´m curious.

Default no chance

If you saw 'When We Were Beautiful' you would know that there is little chance of ever seeing 'Stick to Your Guns' again.

Had some sympathy with Jon over the setlist choices, he seemed to think about them much more than I gave him credit for but then played safe, caved in and worried about 'lulls' in the show and people going off to the bog.

I think they need to educate thier audience or not worry about some people not knowing a particular song, other artists like Bruce, Counting Crows, U2 etc dont worry about it and still play rarities at a consistent rate.

We saw some evidence creeping in last tour that Jon was branching out a bit and I suspect the Circle tour will be the same, bit more variation but not consistently.

What I would like is a shake up in the order of the obvious songs. Lets not have 'Bad Name' as song 2-3, lets not have that runin of 'Sleep When I'm Dead' and 'Bad Medicine' towards the set end, lets shake it up a bit.

Songs that need to be brought back in :

This Aint A Love Song
Something to Believe In
I'd Die For You
Blood on Blood as a regular
Lay Your Hands on Me

Songs that Need to Go :

Sleep When I'm Dead
Bad Name or Bad Medicine (I conceed you cant drop both even though I would!)
Who Says or Whole Lot of Leavin
We Got it Goin On

Songs from the Circle that Need to Be Played :

Work for the Working Man
When We Were Beautiful
Superman Tonight
Bullet
Brokenpromiseland
Loves The Only Rule

The dates at the O2 arena are a perfect chance to not worry about casual fans. The tickets are so expensive that surely casual fans wont go, they are in smaller arenas than the football stadiums so you dont have to worry about the atmosphere and they have plenty of time throughout the month of june to practice different songs as they are not travelling about. They also need to put variation in to stop boredom.

As I said in the Bad Name thread:
Quote:
You're never gonna get a full Bon Jovi concert without Prayer/Bad Name/Medicine/IML/Who Says/Wanted. None of those 6 will ever be dropped, ESPECIALLY on any type of permanent basis, no matter what anyone here (myself included) thinks. The big 3 off of Slippery and IML are what the foundation and legacy of Bon Jovi are built on, and are the songs that casual fans go to see. Bad Medicine hovers near that zone, and it (and sadly Shout) is still a major casual crowd pleaser. And Jon just has a major boner for WSYCGH and what it did for the band. I can live with them being played every night (though the only one that I think HAS TO BE PLAYED AT EVERY JOVI SHOW EVER is Prayer) if they'd change up some of the rest of the set, which they somewhat did later on last tour. Hopefully that continues.

That would be a good idea, the encore is shite so everybody can leave after Livin' On A Prayer.

Im pretty sure he will. Yes he is still having major vocal problems but he has regained some range on the Lost Highway tour which enables him to sing a few more songs. And from what I have seen of late on his Superman tonight performance I think he can sing Always and Dry County. Im hoping for better but I expect his voice to be at least on the same level as Lost Highway tour. Maybe better because now he has had more time with this vocal coach (Katie Agresta).

I'd stay for the entire encore, the only one that sucks is WSYCGH.
