I think that the non acoustic version of Blood on Blood DOES have a high BLOOOOD part.. And I'm proud that jon said that and showed us how his voice cracks.. It's amazing.. all this time I though he was to tall to say.. I think a more honest jon means better setlists.. Maybe he got over the fact his voice isn't what it used to be? That would be great.

I thought this setist was actually very good for a little acoustic show with the surprising songs he chose to sing. I was planning on making a sign asking Jon to play Blood on when I am at my show that I have front row for but it seems he won't likely be doing it even if he reads my sign. Yeay I know he struggles with it and the Borgata DVD is obvious they overdubbed his vocals so it must have been REALLY bad but BLood is one of my all time fave tracks. Funny thing is while Jon has struggled with it a while it shows up as an audible often- both of the setlists which I got from the venues the last two shows I went to had Blood listed... maybe he DOES want to play it and puts it on there as an audible and then realizes his voice just aint gonna cut it.

Anyway do you think it would be a waste of my time fro me to request Blood on Blood? I'm going to the Albany show so that is fairly new into the tour- hoping his voice will still be good. thanks

(cue me on the big screen) JBJ: "How good have you been? Oh My God!" (laughs, more teasing) JBJ: "You want it huh, you want it huh? Blood on Blood just for you, the good girl in the front row? The all request hour, the girl in the front row has just asked for Blood on Blood, ok, Merry Christmas young lady!" Amazing <3

I was at the show yesterday and it was about 250 folks all of which (including me) won ticket through the radio station, WPLJ (a radio station out of NYC). They have been very big Bon Jovi supporters over the years and do play Bon Jovi a lot. Bad Name, IML, KTF, I'll Be There For You, and Born To Be My Baby were all played in the TLFR style. It was a cool intimate show and Jon sounded good and seemed very relaxed and joked around quite a bit.

Jon joked around about the the high part in Blood on Blood and did say that he played it when he felt he was "in good voice". I actually heard Blood On Blood a few times on the Bounce tour. I think it will still get played so no I don't think your sign would be a waste of time.

Yeah go for it, was played a reasonable amount on the Bounce tour, so it probably is worth a try.

You're actually proud of (one of) your favorite lead singer(s) because he admits that his voice cracks? And that would mean better setlists? What the **** is that all about? Rarities performed but in a bad way because Jon sucks at doing them?

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

I think that admiting that is a big step because being afraid to let people see that side of him could keep him from getting even close to that cracking point meaning safer setlists. Maybe now we can get the chance to hear some songs that aren't perfectly performed but can still be played even if richie has to sing part of them. But that's my opinion. Admiting things that you are failing to do is something difficult so YES I'm proud.. because the fact that his voice isn't what it used to be isn't changing whether he admits it or not.

So when he says "I'm in great shape vocally" you call him a liar. He admits "My voice can't take that" and goes out of his way to show the crowd what he can't sing, and you're STILL not happy? I think it was very human of him to show the crowd why he won't play a certain song. At least he's not lying to them and telling them that he's superman.

i like much more last version of blood ( 2000/2001 and 95/96) than the old version
the best version acoustic for me is in 2002 (bonus dvd of tlfr album)

jon's voice now is more beautiful than the past, but no no no power.
dry county,in these arms, the first 2 album, let it rock, these days album...it's impossible for this jon.
now (since 2005) also prayer wanted and faith are too difficoult for this jon.
this tour maybe a calvary
