I don't miss it because I don't like the current live version. Well, I don't listen to the 95 and later version. It doesn't deliver the same as the studio track does. Only some 1993 performance were good enough.
However, I think it should be in rotation but not every show. Only if it replaces Lost Highway, it could be played every nigh, even twice.

Did you see any Lost Highway shows? Blaze was incredible!

Yes, two. Munich and Punchestown. And still, it does not impress me that much. I love that song on the record and I love the live performance from the Awards in 1991 and for example Rotterdam 1993 or NJ 1992 performances are also great. As I said - I don't even like London 1995 version that much. I mean - I like this song live more than many other songs but it is not that special to me. Strange, I know

I'm hugely disappointed Blaze has been dropped.

It is a stone cold classic that has everything, brilliant lyrics, great drumming, and a superb solo. There's no good reason not play it every night.

Mind boggling.

I never used to like it until they done it in 2008 and it sounded excellent, so if it was to be brought back, it wouldn't be a bad thing.

It sounded decent in 2008, but Obie totally destroyed the performance on the official release by mixing it in an awful way if you ask me. I can't listen to it on there.

The best version was the one they did on the AMA's in 1990 (or the Oscars, there were always dicussions about which show it was), because Jon sings it almost like on the record. That said, I prefer the versions from 1995 over the ones from the KTF tour. The energy on the live from London DVD is incredible there and David's backing vocals are immense. On the KTF tour Alec often sang the chorus with his high pitched voice and that ruined it for me.

It was performed at the Academy Awards (Oscars) in 1991. Jon attended and won an award at the 1991 AMA's, but the band wasn't present and he didn't perform the song.

It's the most critically acclaimed song in the collection and it was a #1 hit so it should be performed, at least every few shows.

Would like it to be rotated into the set but not instead of gems like 'Always, Dry County, These Days' etc.

Drop a LH track and play 'Blaze' that is what I would do.
