Jons guitar can hardly count in that as you can barely ever hear it, and one of them is bass, so its just 2 as usual

My feelings echo what others have said. I like Bobby around as a rhythm player, adds to the overall wall of sound the band has, and his background vocals are nice as well. Jut keep him far away from any solos or even leads, outside of the jukebox covers that he has a knack for.

I always love Kathleen's input - I agree about breaking his fingers if he gets near a solo - LOL ...

I was fortunate enough, I guess, to be up close to both Jon and Bobby, at a recent show.

Watching Bobby, it was so obvious that he really wanted the admiration/appreciation from the audience. I kind of felt sorry for him. Watching him was just too painful for me and I looked around and no one around me was watching him, either. To be honest, I can't stand him. Especially, after seeing him up close. Friend or not, the CEO needs to make a corporate decision and let him go. Let him do some studio work, or whatever, but for God's sakes, get him off the stage. It was pitiful, IMO. When Jon put the white mic up to his guitar during one of Bobby's solos, it just made me cringe - talk about sucking the energy right out of a show - dayum.

On a more positive note, I also had the opportunity to see Jon play different guitars (not a guitar geek - sorry) up close, and I was very impressed. I thought to myself, wth, hasn't he done more of this, over the years? To my ears, and to my eyes, he was/is better than most give him credit for.

I also was surprisingly impressed with Phil X. He added a lot of energy to the band. Fresh, and enthusiastic - I thought he did exceptionally well under the circumstances.

Hugh was Hugh - but that night was the FIRST time that I've ever seen the guy *smile on stage*. And, he moved around a bit more. LOL.

Would it be possible to let Bobby go - keep Phil X - and get Richie back - would that combination work ? I'm only asking because, as I said, I'm no guitar geek. That's assuming that Jon ever tours again, which we all know that he will.

I can't say it any better than that.

I am just thankful he doesn't get on here a read some of the more colorful messages about him. I might have already offed myself.

I just wonder, why does Jon have to give his friends/family a job? Can't they just work somewhere else?
If it were for the terrible production, horrible input Bobby gives and terrible work that his brother or cousin or whatever and that retard O Brien does the band would totally collapse. I mean, they all suck so bad.
Bobby is terrible, if you want extra vocals you hire some backup singer/s. you DO NOT hire your friend who totally sucks at everything else. The same goes for O'Brien and all the other turds over there. I mean, OWN CD, remember that? Bon Jovi hasn't released a good live album EVER. A live band that didn't release a good live album ever. Wow.

Wait wait wait, they did release Tokyo Road, which was good. Not a proper show but good. Oh, in Japan you say? ...

I don't know, I don't think Bobby is nearly that bad. He has the chops to nail the covers.

Also, Tokyo Road's not a live album.

If you witness Bobby perform solo or as part of SSJ, you would not say he's terrible...far from it. He's very talented but it escapes me why he sucks on the Jovi guitar solos.

No one knows for sure but the whole BONGIOVI organization is kinda MOBISH (the similarities are numerous but of course I am joking about the contents).... if you are part of the extended fa-mi-ly you are safe and have a job but your job is not define...you do what the boss want you to do

I would love Bon Jovi to be a 5 piece band again. The first time I missed a 2nd guitarist was on the Bounce tour when they used guitar samples on "Undivided" or "Hook Me Up", which again wouldn't have been necessary in the first place...

Bobby seems like a nice guy, but what he does to the solos is ridiculous. If they wanna keep him, make him a Malcolm Young.
