Exactly, if other bands can do it like Metallica, then BJ is able to do also.

Stay the same ? There's people who go to several shows on a Tour, they want to remain excited and have interesting songs thrown up at them. If it's the same show for, say, 100 shows, it would be very boring. Queen's Magic Tour in 1986 is super in terms of performance, but once you've heard one show you've heard them all.

Springsteen is constantly changing- openers change regularly and while some shows on the Rising Tour (first few in 2002 and some European ones last year) were quite short and slightly similar, all of the other ones show huge variation in the setlists.

Below are the first few songs from his Shea Stadium Concerts, which ended the Tour.

Shea #3
1. Code Of Silence
2. The Rising
3. Lonesome Day
4. Roulette
5. Night
6. I Wish I Were Blind

Shea #2
1. Roulette
2. Candy's Room
3. The Rising
4. Lonesome Day
5. The Ties that Bind
6. Brilliant Disguise

Shea #1
1. Souls of the Departed
2. The Rising
3. Lonesome Day
4. Night
5. Tunnel of Love
6. Brilliant Disguise

Yes, some songs appear in the same(ish) places, but thats great variation. Not to mention the differences with the other songs he played over the three concerts.

Boogerhead was used to replace a not so nice word.

I think they should dig out some hidden gems that have not been heard for a while and maybe some more solo album stuff. To me, I can't even relate the Bon Jovi of today to anything like This Ain't A Love Song or Good Guys Don't Always Wear White.

I agree there should be the songs they HAVE to play, but they have such a wealth of a back catalog its a shame that they are left in the dark especially when those are/were the songs that made Bon Jovi most people here's favourite band.

I would personally recommend the following tracks to be added to future setlists:-

Dry County
GGDAWW
Stranger In This Town
Midnight In Chealsea (I know alot of DA wouldnt work live in a stadium)
Stick To Your Guns
Always
Hey God
Something From the Pain
It's Hard letting You Go
In And Out of Love
Tokyo Road
Love Lies

To name a few

in many ways i agree with most of you guys. I felt that specially when i was watching the set lists from the 1st leg of the bounce tour. They all look alike and gemns are rare to be found. But thinking back, and analysing set lists over the years maybe we're being a little to tough with the boys.
Looking to facts:
On every tour there's 3 phases: warm up - first 10 shows - stample show and the final shows - last 6 shows. On the first shows they play new songs along with the usual from the last tour. Here they try some gems to see if people like'em. For instance in 2000 the played damned and letting you go in japan - it seems the band didn't like the audience's reaction since these were no more played; wild is the wind and raise your hands in 2001 - these ones satyed at the set list, the former as an esporadic track and the later as a stample untill today. In 2000 they started to play Born 2 be my baby again - a song they did not play at all in 96 and played very rarely in 95. I these arms was ressurected in the 2001 tour; These days have been played in half of the European shows;Something to believe in is played sometimes; I believe and I'd die for you are always played at some point of the tour, but only on few gigs. Bed of Roses and Always are never played on the same show. Last tour they gave ius an incrdible gift witch was the half acoustic set gigs. The Imola, Italy show, despite shorter had the bonus of the opening song: Rockin in the free world, that wasn't played for a long while. A stample like LYHOM got out of the set list appearing in some of the final shows. The 3 tacks that were a stample closing the main set (LYHOM, ISWID and Medicine) were dislocated. Born 2 be my baby was in the last tour upgraded with a double finalle. Finally, the last part of the tour is always a sort of mix up of what was played, and a lot of different stuff is played - see the last gig at Giants in 2003 for instance: Twist & shout as opener, shout after raise hands, Livin in sn played in the last gigs.

To conclude: I think they could bring back some stuff like the one that was mentioned - i'd sugest that richie could play different tracks - IBTFY, NSG, or even stuff from his solo records - not only SITT; More diverse stuff from TD; tracks from the first 2 records, medleys, etc....
But despite this sugestions, I think the shows have not been so monotonous through the years. Ok, maybe within the same tour shows are a bit alike, but wasn't it always been that way????Within the same tour set lists were always very similar, and that is understandable: they want to give their best to everyone, and dont want anyone to miss their fav band song on the only show they 'll attend on the tour.

I'm sure that next year they'll have many surprises for us, the set list will be different and as always the band.will evolve
