Default So, Bon Jovi like playing hits...

Seeing as Bon Jovi's modern setlists are focused on hit singles, and live staples, basically, anything that's well known, perhaps they should start playing Always again.

It's no secret that Jon's voice sounds badly ****ed up half the time, and that he can't get the high notes. But Richie still has a really powerful singing voice, and I think that it would make a nice change if Bon Jovi played their biggest hit from the '90s, with Richie on vocals.

As far as I know they haven't even performed the TLFR version of Always this tour, so if Richie sang it one night it would be AMAZING.

I would love to hear always again. I think the comment about Jons voice was a bit harsh tho, when I saw him in New Jersey he sounded fantastic throughout the whole concert. Higher notes are always going to be harder to hit as you get older.

I don't think it would be right/seem kind of out of place to have Richie sing a song he had nothing to do with writing. I wouldn't feel any connection between the song and himself.

If they play any 90's song besides Faith & Saturday (wich should be a standard staple), please satan, no Always!
I think they still can put off plenty of songs live, Dry County, Something for the Pain, Something to believe in, Damned, FEAR just to name a few

I'd love to hear Always but wouldn't wanna hear Richie singing. It's one of my favorite songs and I associate it with Jon too much. Not to mention Richie's voice not really suiting it at all.

I dont think Jon could pull off any of these songs. Not without struggeling majorly anyway. There is a very recent version of In These Arms from the current canadian tour up on youtube and it sounds absolutely horrible vocally...

Dont know about Richie singing Always...i cant sem to imagine his voice singing that song, allthough i really like the original version.

Jon sounded shit on Something To Believe In in 2003 and had to alter a few lines of the song in order to get the words out of his mouth without sounding like a strangled cat.

They've never pulled of a version of Something For The Pain either that worked, and there's no way the Jon can do the verses of Fear properly, let alone the chorusses.

I agree that they should play a few more songs from the nineties, but there aren't that many hits he can still sing in the original key. In These Arms is downtuned 1,5 key compared to the studio version, and Jon still is incapable of singing it like it's done on the record. The chances of getting the "baaaaaaaaaaaaby" like on the chorus are second to none.

Not that many people now this but when the band plays Never Say Goodbye live nowadays, the band does it in E, instead of C. That's a lot of downtuning.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

Really?! Wow, that's insane.
But of course I prefer that to the strangled cat.

Yeah, it surprised me a lot when I could sing along to the version played in Stuttgart.
