So, should we just chalk this up to Jon talking out his ass before things were finalized?
It seems like there's nowhere near enough time to coordinate an event of this magnitude.

I'm starting to be pretty doubtful. Actually, as soon as I heard that MLB was supposedly involved, my confidence level went way down. I almost wonder if Jon said what he did to try to force something to happen. Total speculation, of course.

It's looking that way On the other hand - he does have a way of making things happen when he wants them too. I won't be too disappointed if it falls through though. I've been to big concerts in the park and they are usually a logistics nightmare - and as I've mentiond before - the sound usually sucks.

Exactly the same happened during the European leg of the HAND tour. Jon talked about a tour in America and doing something that no other band had ever done before. A month later the stadium dates were anounced and he never ever spoke about it again.

I don't know, I've heard it on plj many times. They keep saying it's happening but I can't believe you can see them with a million people there. It'll be crazy. The radio does keep saying July 12th, but who knows.

Glad to hear that it is still being talked about locally. There's been nothing about it lately when I've searched news files. I'll be in town that weekend no matter what, and I'm starting to look around for other things to do that day.

You'll let us know if there's any real news about the show, right? Please!
