I saw my share of "Hull" shows in the States on the NJ tour. But, I knew the band was tired and sick of each other with all the shows they'd done so I really didn't dwell on the bad ones. Bad shows happen but thank goodness they are the exception rather than the rule with the band and/or Jon.

A friend of mine who lives in Hull said they were really disappointed that they couldn't make the gig... I said maybe it wasn't such a bad thing! Always next year or O2 for those going

I've read rumours that they got the news the evening before that Richie's dad had terminal cancer and Jon wanted to cancel the show and go home but they couldn't and that's why he was in a bad mood. We'll never know the truth of it, that's for sure. However, I can't say it was a bad show 'cause the rest of the guys were great, it was just Jon's mood that put a damper on things. Shit happens, I'm sure they'll blow us away at 02.

I know, but it seems Jon was in a bad mood even when they left the hotel for the show, according to pics, but as I said, we'll never know what was going on in his head, but something was annoying him anyway. He did smile though whe n the two girls sneaked up behind him and gave him a kiss.

Actually, he looked rather ticked off at them for breaking his concentration during the a capella intro to 'Prayer'. I was front row and his immediate reaction was not very appreciative.

He didn't seem like he was really joking when he said "I'm doing a job here" or something like that. Then he went on to bang the hell out of Tico's drum shield.

This is a pic of Jon coming out of the Mandarin Hotel. Someone took this pic while sitting on a Bus. They told me that he looked a bit moody

Edit: This was on June the 12th 2006 (the day after the second Milton Keynes show)

Allright, could someone explain to me what happened at Hull? I've been reading over the posts and all I have understood is that Jon got angry. Someone fill me in.
