When he was singing Stranger in the USA, many reports were that it didn't go over well--people were sitting down, or leaving their places to go to the bathroom or to get drinks. The one time I saw him play Stranger it got a very bleak reaction. Almost everyone just sat down--compared to when Dave sang everyone was up and rocking. Richie got a much better response with IBTFY, a song people know.
