Default Some help for the Giants?

Hello friends!

Me and my girlfriend will tryp from Spain to New York to see the 3 Giants shows in May. We have seen many shows in Europe, but this will be the first time in Jersey and we just can't wait!!!

We have book a hotel in Manhattan. Could anybody tell me the best way to get to the show using public transport? Does anybody knows if there will be buses to the Stadium? Where can I take them?

Thank you so much!

Buenas.

Saludos.

You can take a Northeast Corridor train from Penn Station Manhattan (34th Street) to Secaucus Junction and then change to a direct link train straight to the Meadowlands. This link just opened last fall and it's great. Here is the announcement and specifics:

http://www.njtransit.com/tm/tm_servl...ELEASE_ID=2534

Service to Meadowlands Sports Complex

Updated 4/21/10

Rail service to the Meadowlands operates for major stadium events only.
Rail service will operate for the following major events at New Meadowlands Stadium.

DATE TIME EVENT

Wednesday, May 26, 2010 7:00 PM Bon Jovi
Thursday, May 27, 2010 7:00 PM Bon Jovi
Saturday, May 29, 2010 7:00 PM Bon Jovi

There are also buses that leave from the Port Authority Bus Terminal (41st Street & 8th Ave) and will go there also.

Thanks friend!

It seems there will be no problem to get to the show and back from New York by public transport. The train to Secaucus Junction and the buses from Port Authority Bus Terminal.

Maybe the buses could be a better option cause they run direct from NY to the stadium and you don't have to make any trasfers.

Anyway, thanks for info and have a great show to those who be there!

And what about the prices? In web of the bus the price is 5 $ for person and trip.

http://www.coachusa.com/info/coachus...ion=GroupLogin

So 2 people, 5 $ each way, 3 days we have 60$.

Anyone knows about the prices of the train?

The bus is $10 round trip. Not sure of the train, the fares have gone up. You can go to www.njtransit.com.

What's the best way to get to Secaucus area from airports? We're flying in for the show on the 29th....not sure what airport (depends on $$) and how to get to our hotel in the Secaucus area (besides cab which is probably spendy too).
Thanks

If you fly into Newark - you can take the monorail to the Northeast Corridor (1 stop I think) and then get on a Northeast Corridor train and get off at Secaucus Junction. It's pretty easy and convenient. Someone from this board has done it numerous times when coming to visit me.

I can't give you costs because New Jersey Transit just raised their rates as of May 1st and they don't even have their website sorted out yet

Getting to Secaucus from Kennedy airport will be a lot harder and many more trains and transfers. You might be best to get a taxi if you haven't been here before. Though that will be damn expensive. Right now I would guess about $120.00 - $150.00
