hopefully a cd - i'd rather it be just a dvd and that they release an electric cd

think about how easy it is for us just to do our own audio cd direct from the dvd in perfect sound...

[quote=stopping a song and replay it ON STAGE is really something strange to me- never heard that... they hopefully keep that a secret cause otherwise other artists will laugh their a**** off [/quote]

Last time I saw U2 they did the same thing. They started up "Staring At the Sun" and about a minute or so into it Bono stopped singing and then the band quickly stopped playing. He told the crowd something to the effect: "talk amongst yourselves, while we talk amongst ourself and get a f***in clue as to how to play this song." It was really pretty funny.

Rod Stewart did the same thing. Tried singing a song and was missing the notes and asked the crowd if they'd mind if he did a redo.

That's just too funny... Glad to hear they don't take themselves too seriously all the time...

but though they seemed to have made a cool dvd and album (<-- hopefully it will be a cd too)
Specifically what do you mean in regards to One Wild Night - Live with the crowd being the only live aspect?

Also, to respond to the statement here about other artists laughing their asses off and Krb's usual rants which will be re-posted/re-worded several times before his afternoon nap time comes along............

Retakes and stopping in the middle of a song IS THE NORM! No one has anything to complain about here. This was a special concert specifically done as an Unplugged show. It was not approached as a regular concert nor have any of the other many Unplugged shows by various artists/bands been done as a one shot deal. It does not take away from the fact that the performance is still very much live and being done on the spot.

I agree here - it was something different, a side to BJ u don't usually see - more akin to being in the studio.
& most importantly all reviews so far by ppl who attended r positive.

Am I the only one a bit worried about these "secrets"? Wonder why they didn´t do retakes of the first encore songs at all. Is it because they played them so well and everything was perfect or was it maybe because they didn´t mean to include them on the DVD and just played them for audience.

Just look at the setlist without the songs that were only played once and you´ll see why I´m a bit worried. Not too original says I.

isn't this positive?- it's taken from my post- so please read all of it if you comment on it!
this concert seemed to be more a rehearsel with crowd than a concert but it's sth. new and somehow cool but it shows that the guys are not these god-like musicians some of you claim them to be- they're "not even" among the elite otherwise they needn't redo some songs... and this does absolutely NOT mean that i think they're BAD musicians- they're imho in the upper-middle class as musicians (which has got nothing to do with the quality of their songs- it's only a comment on their technical skills)
the story jesyjames wrote with u2- is imho absolutely emberassing- i don't pay 70€ for a ticket for a band which can't play their songs...

for the own thing: some songs on that album have been overdubbed to death- that's why i said that the only thing which is really "live" is the roaring of the crowd- and some very good musicians confirmed that...
