I like the covers in Sleep When I'm Dead, but I don't really like Shout and Rockin' All Over The World. I love Hallelujah and Rockin' In The Free World though, but would still rather hear Bed Of Roses/Hey God over them.

Especially the type of casual fans that Bon Jovi attracts. I hate to say it, but that's not the "type" of song they associate with Bon Jovi. So that basically becomes a ten minute buzzkill for a lot of paper.
I don't like it, and it's not fair, but it's true.
That being said, I'm a selfish die-hard and wish they would play it a lot, but I can't lie and say I don't understand why they don't, as I can do with songs like Hey God, or OWN amongst others.
LOL, a buzzkill for a lot of paper

That's actually a good idea, Tico & Dave can do a little solo also. Just jam it, BJ unlike I know but they should be able to do something awesome....

Because it would be a big beer and bathroom break - as strange as that might sound to those of us who would love that.

That's right, I can't put a percentage on it, but I'd say a fair proportion of the crowd don't even know the 'other' band members' names...

These casual fans annoy the **** out of me. I'd never go for a piss break or anything during a rock concert, certainly not to go and get a drink.

When I went to see Velvet Revolver Slash played a long solo and I saw nobody leaving their seats, I certainly never even considered it, and I wouldn't say I'm a diehard VR fan.

At Twickenham Stadium night 1 people were pouring in and out of GA the whole time, even during songs like Runaway. I can't understand why people would want to do that, it really annoys me. God knows what would happen if Richie played a long solo.

Anyway, rant over

Aloha !

When people visit Velvet Revolver they go to see Slash. When people go see Bon Jovi nowadays, they go to see Jon. Especially with him doing lots more press work, being more prominently on the pictures than he used to be in the nineties.

However, with that said, many songs of which Jon is so fond of (Joey, Right Side Of Wrong, Hallelujah, I Got The Girl, Complicated) tend to be beer breaks here as well and do not go over as well as Richie's rendition of I'll Be There For You.

I don't understand why Jon is so focussed on the casual fans. They'll only be there if he's got a big hit next time, and I'm pretty sure that the European audiences they got this tour are people that go see Bon Jovi about every tour, and wouldn't give a shit about a 5 minute guitar solo. They're there just to have a good time, and 15 minutes of a concert spend on die hards wouldn't piss them off in any way.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

Cause they destroyed and butchered their classics big time! Sad! No wonder the beer people made lots of money (the only ones who made a profit during the European tour!)
My god, can you never just shut the **** up? This tour has been the best since These Days, everyone else is ****ing saying it, and no, we're not 'blind JBJ asslickers' or whatever you usually say, we actually enjoy the music and know a band improving when we see it.

You're pathetic and I hope you get banned for good soon.
