This plus the very physical voice of the man. Their voices complemented each other and I dare to say Richie's harmonies carried Jon while he was struggling vocally for years. Now Jon's out there singing on his own *let's face it, even Dave's voice can't make for Richie's absence* and nothing is hidden anymore. We hear it loud and clear!

Here we go again...

Jon's vocal problems are all physical, not psychological. There's no making excuses for him...

Try blaming the fact he spent years wrecking his voice playing too many shows and for too long each night, and not holding back at all. Or maybe the fact that he started smoking in the mid 90's. But sure, let's blame Richie..

Richie's departure definitely sped up Jon's vocal decline. It would've happened anyway, but it struck him earlier and with more impact.

That's what I'm saying. I'm not saying his voice wouldn't have gone downhill, but not to the extent. Your voice doesn't decline that quickly with just singing under normal circumstances

Exactly! It happened like, almost overnight ! You just need to acknowledge the ugly truth that a human being is a complex creature and different factors play a role, including the psychological ones. What I actually dread is that those changes are irreversible:/

Wild Is The Wind is a song I can see making an appearance.

It's not THAT difficult to sing, especially the way JBJ does it nowadays. Phil X knows the chords. I think that's the rarest song we will get.

They played it in Cologne (Köln) during the WAN tour. That was a big surprise and Jon praised Phil for the intro. So it is possible.

To be honest I CAN see him sing Just Older, the higher notes are in short bursts anyways and the rest of the song is like many other BJ songs. But I am pretty sure it won't happen.

You didn't hear much loud and clear actually. Besides a few signature songs like Wanted and I'll Be There For You Richie didn't cover as much for Jon as fans would like to believe.

Starting with the Have A Nice Day tour Richie started singing along with the backing vocals as opposed to being the leading guide for the backing vocals. Richie's voice declined from 2003 and he wasn't able to do as many of the higher harmonies as he used to.

The voice you're missing isn't Richie's voice, it's Bobby's. He covered for Jon from the moment he was hired as his voice blended well together with Jon's. He's the reason why songs like Bed Of Roses sounded as good vocally as they did from 2008-2011 as he sang along to a lot of the verses as well.

It's also 6 years ago since it was last played and before Jon blew his voice out for good. The way he sings now is quite different from his decline in 2013.

To put things in a timeframe; some peoples expectations are rather similar to thinking Jon Bon Jovi could sing the chorus of Livin' On A Prayer in 1993 because he could do so in 1987.

Most suggestions here are rather odd anyway. Considering what the audibles were for the last 2 years and how most didn't get played every night there's little reason to believe that'll suddenly change because they're playing Europe.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

id like a few of the cover medleys to come into a song (not sleep mind!), especially if they switch them up. I remember Dublin and Munich previously, had a bit of fun. I would like to hear the new stuff like Ghost and Born Again Tomorrow, a few they havent played that many of but I have sensible expectations when it comes to rarities. I don't know if Jon's voice can handle to toned down acoustic interlude but aslong as the show is as good as it can be, then I will be happy enough. I don't want to think about leaving during the show if it is bad! Rock it out, let Phil have a bit more prominence, would love him to have a wee song in there, maybe Dave sing something like In These Arms, change it up but be sensible........no point screeching out a rarity which wrecks the show! Dublin and Wembley, hoping for some magic!
