Aloha !

Why is it always the South Americans on any board to resort to continue their conversations in Spanish, Portugese or whatever else they feel is appropriate to them as opposed to the rest of the board who speaks English? I never see Germans starting German conversations or Swedish people starting Swedish conversations. Brazillians and Argentinians? Yep.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

I don't think so.

Have you heard about La Bombonera? The temple of football, with 18 international titles.

You are right. Let's bring it back to english!
Just in case anyone is interested guys were discussing some recent rumours saying that BJ will be playing on September 25th @Estadio Único in La Plata, Buenos Aires intead of River Plate Stadium which is the biggest we have in Argentina as Ezearis stated before. Some people like that idea and some don't.

Also, the guys were saying that no new dates should be announced 'till Richie's back.

For me, they'll keep bringing the dates on 'cause the circus needs to keep moving. They have already confirmed Rock in Rio and they'll do the rest of South America with or without Richie cause the the are lots of costs involved in bringing the band down to this side of the world... Would be crazy to just do Rock in Rio.

He is not talking about football though, or how many titles Boca has won. River's stadium is the most important stadium in the country, fact. It is the national stadium, it holds finals such as the 1978 World Cup, and Argentina plays there in football, and it held the final of the Copa America in 2011. Fail

I will be a little pissed if it is in La Plata. Anyone who has been there know how to get to and from? Taxis, costs, buses? Thanks

Honestly, I don't know. I don't see the point either as is an international forum, so let's get back on english.

That's arguable, El Monumental, speaking of concerts, is the most important one in all Argentina. Not only because of its history, but last year it was the second stadium with most sold tickets in the world. Also, El Monumental is the biggest football stadium in the world, and it's considered the national stadium of the country.

Who's better? River or Boca? That's a discussion for another forum, but speaking of stadiums, El Monumental is El Monumental.

Well, if you're from Buenos Aires, La Plata is not that far, is only 50 km away. I don't know how much is the bus ticket right now, but the last time I travelled, it was 12 ARS I think, it might be 15 right now. The taxis are really cheap, I can't remember how much I payed from the bus station to the stadium, but in October 2011 wasn't more than 30 ARS.

I don't think you'll spend more than 100 bucks.

Dont worry it. La Plata has a great stadium and it is very close to the city entrance. You won´t have any problem with the access.

La Plata it`s one hour from Capital. Buses from Retiro (bus station) are 60 pesos per ticket.
When a I saw Aerosmith there, the tickets seller company offered with your concert ticket the chance to buy a bus ticket to take you from Retiro to the stadium (and bring you back to Retiro again). So you don´t have to bother on going to the station previously to get a bus ticket.

Also I saw Guns n Roses there, but I did the trip driving with a friend. Again, we hadn´t any problem that day.

If you get an GA ticket, you will have a cool view and the sound it´s really great cause of the roof the stadium has. (something that River either Velez has it).

sexatraxxion bostero !! a tu cancha le falta una tribunaa de que hablás ! jaja

60!? Wow, last time I went there it was 12 or 15. I can't believe it.

The night of the Guns N' Roses there were some issues, the city was collapsed, you couldn't even get out of the city, or move near the stadium. In car, I arrived to Buenos Aires at 6 AM.
The night of Aerosmith, the highway and the entrances were collapsed, also. But no problems to get out of the stadium or the city.
IMO, La Plata doesn't have the infrastructure to have a big concert. Maybe they've solved this last year, I haven't been there since the GnR/Aerosmith gigs.

Edit:

El reajuste se aplicó también en las prestaciones de media distancia. En la empresa Plaza el pasaje a la capital federal sin SUBE se fue de $20 a $30 y en Costera Metropolitana de $20 a $27.
Seems like it's 27 ARS the bus.

This bus ticket (round trip) leaves you in front of the stadium gates, and then they pickup there and take you again to Retiro. It´s more expensive but you don´t have to take a taxi from station to stadium.

It´s not the classic services that takes you only from station to station.
