Default Sprint Tribute To America (Daytona 500)

So they boys are performing right now. They sound really great and have already performed cuts of It's My Life, and Have A Nice Day, and are currently playing Who Says You Can't Home with none other than Jennifer Nettles.... She's looking sexy. The stage setup is really cool. There's a catwalk in front and fan pits on both sides of it. Also there are fan pits behind the stage and to the sides of the stage. The main stage is a mini setup of the stage on the HAND Tour.... They also had a pre-video featuring various songs and videos of the boys on tour and even use their official videos mixing them up with shots of NASCAR. I'll tell you what... There's nothing like seeing my favorite NASCAR Driver rocking out to Bon Jovi.... Bon Jovi and the Daytona 500??!?!? There's nothing like it!!!

Good performance overall. I wonder how many records they'll sell from this. Now if only they could open for the NPPL this season...

It was a great performance espically for HAND being in a different key and the guys not using the 'normal' equipment on each of the songs.

Well after sitting through that preshow for what seemed like an eternity (surprise surprise, BJ.com was wrong YET AGAIN ~ they said the band would be on around 1:50 and finished by 2) I was getting pissed and thinking it wasn't going to be shown. FINALLY they came on and it was worth the wait!

I loved the beginning right before they took the stage where they showed the clips of BJ videos with racing... that was cool. And Jon looked like such a rock star when he made his entrance up the steps onto the stage. They sounded good... not tired at all after four shows in five days. I thought it was a GREAT performance. HAND sounded especially good to me!

Did anyone notice that one racer (sorry not a NASCAR fan whatsoever so no clue who he was) who was holding his little girl right in front near the stage. Everytime the camera was on them the kid just looked bored to tears~ couldn't help but laugh at that....

(cue me on the big screen) JBJ: "How good have you been? Oh My God!" (laughs, more teasing) JBJ: "You want it huh, you want it huh? Blood on Blood just for you, the good girl in the front row? The all request hour, the girl in the front row has just asked for Blood on Blood, ok, Merry Christmas young lady!" Amazing <3

I'm pretty sure they did preform around 1:50ish... I could have swore I heard them in the background(I thought "are they not going to show them?!"). After the whole Superbowl thing a few years back I wouldn't be surprised at all if it was "pre-recorded" by 10/15 mins.

To all those that did not get a chance to experience the duet version of WSYCGH live in concert, might I ad 'WHOOP-DEE-DO'.

Miss nettles looks like a shitzu - nice rack, but her face looks like it's decided to recess into her head.

They sounded good - for a tv gig. Ever since Crush, all the TV gigs seem so cut and dry. Jon barely moved and the 'performance' aspect was kept to a minimum.

Merely a footnote of a footnote where their performance history is concerned.

Cheers,

Mikey D

Yes! That was Michael Waltrip and his little girl! I met Michael back in Daytona like 4 years ago. He's a nice guy and really funny!

I guess we were watching different shows then, because I was impressed with the sound of this performance, kudos to the sound crews. While it wasn't a concert like dramatic performance, Jon did make a very "rock star" entrance, Richie did an excellent gentleman escort thing with Jennifer Nettles, and Who says was really good done live by the two singers, Jon's voice was in very good shape for a singer who has done four shows in five nights.
I really thought IML which is not a favorite of mine live was well done and HAND sounded great!!!

As for Ms. Nettles appearance I thought she looked fine, I liked the shirt she chose, she always wears her hair loose and messy and I thought she was very attractive today. As always the lady can sing!!!

Wow, Mikey, so harsh on Jennifer. I need to look so crappy, lol!!

I was glad to see my favorite driver, #88, Dale Jarrett, down there in the crowd. Very cool!!

Note: it's hard to be from the home of NASCAR, North Carolina, and not get into it.

Call me crazy but did IML so so good live because the talkbox part was pre-recorded? I couldn't see Richie's Frampton Talkbox on stage and at one point it didn't seem right.
