Default Stage set up.

It says on the offical Bon Jovi website that there will be a new stage design for the outdoor shows in the US and Canada. Does this mean that the stage at the European stadiums will be the same stage as used in the Amaeican indoor arenas?

Probably not the indoor arena's in the USA do have a too small stage for a stadium gig. Probably the European Stadium stage will be the same as the one in the USA, like in 2003.

Nope. They´re bringing new stage for European tour. That´s the impression I got reading the Q&A @ bonjovi.com. So it´s not the same they´ve used in US/Canada/Japan.

I hope that we get a stage setup similar to what U2 have done in the past, an enclosed area with a walkway right the way round would be awesome! (see U2 Elevation tour or vertigo)
As yes, the GC people in the enclosure still get the closest to the stage, but the GA folk on the fringe are actually just as close to any band members who are on this walkway.
i think Jon would be very keen on this idea, as with his whole playing at the back of the house and in the crowd thing in the US arenas may not be as practical an idea over here in the huge stadiums, and so it would be a good opportunity to engage more of the crowd which is what they want.
Works for U2!

I believe the MLB people don't allow anything to be set up on the infield area.

just saw your announcement in the news section about summer dates ...I hope this question is ok .. is the stage in the usa stadiums gonna be the same as in the europe stadiums ? I am european .. shall we get the elliptical stage too or is the european stage gonna be different ? either way will be fine with me BTW I care about the band more than about the stage
asked by mimi on Monday, April 17, 2006
Answer:
the elliptical ramp will be part of the set up in europe and incorporated into the barricade system

Nice, seems europe gets a cool setup too.

like i said, its great for those who arent GC, as the actual barreier between GA and GC is a ramp which Jon (and co?) can use! I dont feel so left out now over in GA, mean if i get there early i can get right next to a section of the ramp.

Have to say if they do go for this set up, it will be awesome for me and my mom, she broke her ankle in several places last year and we have GC but will not be able to make a dash for anywhere near the front as the ankle was set badly and she can't run!! We were simply happy being there and having a bit of a boogie in the pit somewhere....if there's a ramp of some description may mean we get a little closer to the action!!
