I think it's the WAY people have been criticising the set lists and such that is getting frustrating for some people. I, personally, don't get upset when people talk about the set lists being so predictable and unvarrying anymore. I do, though, get upset sometimes at the way people express that. It bothers me when I see posts saying that they suck and such. I agree that the setlists need to be revised. But, I don't think the band suck because they haven't. Does that make sense???

I also feel that even though we want the setlists to change.....we all know that for the most part they won't be changed. Yet, we still choose to purchase tickets to attend the shows, knowing that we will get a somewhat similar show to those we've seen many times. Yes, it's disappointing sometimes to hear ISWID for the 100th time. But, at least I am getting to go to a BJ show and see them. That's the way I look at it. I think that sometimes we just need to have a more positive outlook. We are their truest, most die hard fans. If we can't support them then how can we expect others to???????? I'm not saying that we all jump on the band wagon and praise everything they do. There are songs I skip sometimes on their CD's (with the exception of the NJ album. No songs to skip for me there.) I'm not greatly fond of the Bounce CD, but what can I do?? I still chose to buy it, just like I am choosing to go to two shows, possibly three, on this tour knowing I may see the same show three times. I'm just grateful that I have the means to be able to do that and that Bon Jovi are here to see.

Sorry, I had to get some of that off my chest. It's been bothering me for the last week, seeing all the negative responses to the first shows setlist. I'm sure now, that I'll get criticised for my thoughts....but hey, I know that and I'm still choosing to post this.
You make perfect sense! Cheers :P

THEY ARE NOT GONNA PLAY ANYTHING FROM THESE DAYS!!!!
Never say never. They throw songs from that era in every once in a while.

As far as my comment about THESE DAYS goes what im saying is that its been how many years since a song from these days has been in regular rotation? so stop asking already. I agree with a couple of the last posts... my point here was to question the way in which people are bringing these opinions up, sure everyone is entitled to their own opinions but when i see posts such as "SAME CRAP" or "Another TYPICAL SETLIST" It bothers me because its not so typical to everyone, some that want to hear Bad Medicine. Im just saying we should raise the level of our discussions because thats what it is...discussion... like i said... Why only one ballad? makes sence, not "Im sick of seeing the same show 134 times" well maybe you should have thought about that after about show 10.

I think that the reason why they're playing only one or two ballads per show is because they want to give the audience two hours of rock. They want the crowd partying and livin' it up, and not waving their lighters around and crying and being all sentimental. I think that's fine, and as long as they can physically pull off a two-hour show with all upbeat rock tunes then that's fine with me. Although I don't usually care two much for ballads in concerts, I want to rock, I must admit that would be great to hear both I'll be there for you and Right side on concert - they're my two favourite BJ ballads.

I think all in all, we can' t assume too much from the first 3 setlists. They evidently keep on changing bits and pieces to try out new things, and even though I think that some of their setlist is getting old (and I don't mean the old classics that get played every time, I mean songs like Twist and Shout ending the concert, yet again), it doesn't mean it's crap.

I think that we're all entitled to our opinions, and even though it's very easy to critisize a setlist of a concert you haven't attended, once you go to a concert, you feel that the setlist there is perfect. I don't mind people voicing different opinions, although I think that there is a constructive way of saying things. When people say it's crap or it sucks, they're just using those words to attract more attention and emphasis on the matter.

And for Captain.Crash, I hope that you have a rockin' time in the concert next month!!! Don't stop reading JT just because you don't like some of the things said here (they can be ignored easily) and don't let the opinions here spoil your concert experience. It's what you yourself feel and think that counts, not what other people might say. So you just have a rocking night, put all negativity aside and enjoy! That's what BJ is up on the stage for!!!

Did get some of the things off me chest...
