If you pay that price for a ticket, you *are* responsible for making it harder for new fans to experience the band. You just are).

If more people had had the common sense to realise they were being ****ing ripped off, the prices would have come down a whole lot sooner.
I bought the Sat night tickets for the cheaper price
How am I ruining it for everyone?

The post was in response to anyone who had paid full price and then complained about people getting upgrades. Apologies if this does not include you.

At the time you bought your ticket, you knew *EXACTLY* where in the house you would be sat.

That someone else paid less to be in a seat better than you does not change that.

Grow up ffs.
Bullshit!

You buy a cheap seat, you know what you're getting.
You buy an expensive seat, you don't expect to find everyone else on the row got a free upgrade!

The problem is that now people are DELIBERATELY buying the cheap seats, knowing that they will get a free upgrade.

How the hell am I acting spoiled?
You buy a nosebleed seat and you know what you are getting.
I don't have an issue with a couple of people getting the upgrades, but it seems like half the damn audience are getting it.
If I pay that much for a ticket, and the rest of the row get theirs because of a free upgrade how is that fair?

You buy a first class seat on a flight and then discover 25 people have got free upgrades from standard class - you are entitled to be annoyed!

I don't see how anything is any different.

Because you think that having paid £200 for your ticket gives you the right to control who sits next to you.

No it does not include me.
I think its great people got upgrades and would love if I got one.

And I gotta say its pretty ****ing horrible to come here and feel attacked because someone else *thinks* you did / said something.

Maybe next time you should check your facts.

It *IS* ****ing great!!!

I know you don't know be personally, but I really am the kind of person who if I ever end up with a spare ticket for a show would honestly rather give it away to a friend or a random stranger than put it up for sale on ebay. And this *does* happen semi-regularly. I will buy pairs of tickets to things I'm hoping someone else will enjoy and be glad just to take a friend just to share something with them.

Was honestly just frustrated that anyone would think it a bad thing that people are getting upgrades. There *was* a point to be made, and I'll accept I screwed up putting your quote at the top of it.

Apology accepted.

Never been in the situation where I would have an extra ticket but think if I did it would be nicer to give to someone than sell.

It's like ordering Lobster at a restaurant for the full price and seeing the person on the table opposite getting the same for the price of a Prawn cocktail.

I'd be glad for the customer but a bit pissed off with the restaurant.

I have no issue with people now managing to get tickets for half the price from Ticketmaster - that's life and the way it goes.

However, why should I not be annoyed at people getting the best seats for the price of a cheap seat?
Again, I wouldn't be so bothered by it if it was proper long term fans.
But I'd be REALLY annoyed if it's people who are casuals, who then spend 25% of the gig nattering to each other because they don't know the songs.

I'm not annoyed at the fans - I'm annoyed with AEG for allowing this to happen, thanks to the pricing structure.

Tico's Stick - precisely. And if it were a restaurant, you would ask for some kind of discount and probably get it. But with concerts and their promoters, you're royally screwed the moment you purchase the ticket.
