Journey is a great live band I saw them a few years ago... Neil Schon rocks as does their new lead singer Steve Augeri... definitely underrated...but I don't know if they would open... they usually headline... of course BJ is way bigger than Journey but it might be an ego thing .. plus two 80's bands on the same bill I don't think Jon would want that would seem too nostalgiac..

Albany, NY 12/12/05. JBJ to me from the stage: "You been a good girl this year?" (Reads my sign) "Jon, It's almost Xmas I've been a very good girl! Play Blood on Blood please!" (cue me on the big screen) JBJ: "How good have you been? Oh My God!" (laughs, more teasing) JBJ: "You want it huh, you want it huh? Blood on Blood just for you, the good girl in the front row? The all request hour, the girl in the front row has just asked for Blood on Blood, ok, Merry Christmas young lady!" Amazing <3

And today iit was "announced " that Nickleback is the opener for this show, so it sounds like the speculation will go on.

Journey, the new version is just not the band it used to be. The new frontman can definitely sing but he is no Steve Perry and those songs being done without that voice just fall flat. I used to love this band but I just can't get into the new stuff with no Perry voice.

If this rumour was true , Id be doin the happy dance , but Im gonna sit and wait on this one ..so far on all the shows Ive seen these local acts were downright awful , although there was one at CAA ( not Queen Bee it was one of the other 2) who did a nice rave up of Just what I needed by the cars .Im goin to many of those dates overseas so im hoping for the best .

Id love this ..REALLY but probally not gonna happen...
Journey well IF THE OLD Journey would get back together Steve Perrry ...yup that be nice ..Id love to hear Neil With Richie and Steve on " kiss me softly" thats a dream of mine forever....

As for collective soul im 27 remember THEM the first time out in the 90s ( they not a new fresh band) and they were awful then too

Where did you hear that Nickleback will be opening?

I read an interview with Neal Schon a few years ago where he said he'd like to get on one of the big summer tours of Europe, the band he actually mentioned as an example was Bon Jovi so I think they would be up for it. I get your point about the whole nostalgia thing though from Bon Jovi's point of view.
