Tried to get an upgrade on Saturday for a friend but they weren't having any of it!

No chance of getting an upgrade in advance, but highly likely on the day if your friend goes to the ticket office.

Anyone recommend any good bars in the town or near the ground? Preferably ones that will have jovi music blasting out!

oh never knew you could do this, i have cheap seats for Thursday. So its possible to upgrade? i quite fancy GC again.....how do you go about doing this? and what sort of cost we looking at?

I can tell from Yvonne's post thought that this is not always possible?

I don't know about upgrades to GC, they seem pretty small. But they may be able to move you from your cheap seats if they are terrible like ours where at Manc, there's spare capacity in GA or in some of the seating areas. Don't see them upgrading to GC or DC as these both seemed pretty full

My brother upgraded from GA to GC a few weeks ago just by asking Ticketmaster...don't know if it has any relevance to what you're all asking though

Well then gang, whats the general consensus for travelling to the gig?

I was gonna jump on the Metro (I live in Cullercoats), like I did for Bruce last year, but I'm taking the wife to this one who's not too keen on a 90 minute train ride home

Whats the parking like? Any park and rides??

Also, am I right in thinking that most of the drinking establishments are across the river in the town center?

Oh, and the weather is promising to be absolutely dull
