While I'm happy you enjoyed the show, not to mention mastered the ability to be concise, I think you may be drinking the kool-aid here friend. It wasn't a bad version of DC, but nowhere near as good as the LH tour versions. Jon completely skipped out vocally. That said, they looked a lot more into it than they did on the LH tour (Twickenham comes to mind). What's your reasoning?

But not as good as 1993 then? I still feel privileged

I have to agree with Seb on this one. And I'm really not saying it on afterglow.

I know I've been MIA on this site but it's because it just doesn't like my computer, lol! That said, I loved night one. Sure there were imperfections, with sound, and the show wasn't that much different than the other 7 I'd seen at that point but there is just something about the atmosphere of a stadium that takes the show from just solid to great for me. And I actually thought Dry County was well done, not perfect, but really good.

First of all there is no reason to get nasty...none ... at... all....

Second...its called nuance...and its not even subtle....

did you read the review? im glad you liked as i seem to kinda be the only one with that opinion out on my island again but....

it was disappointing for me in a lot of ways...
jon gave a lot of energy it just seemed forced more than i would have liked...
the sound was not great...but honestly i dont rem DC being anywhere near as bad as everyone is saying (good to see this confirmed by someone who has actually listened to a decent audio)
richie wasnt GREAT but he was much better than last time but still, he never used to be a issue that was even discussed...

yet i had a great TIME...just like Seb did except that this was the second time i saw this show so it wasnt an 8 out of 10 by any stretch for a JOVI show...it was still an awesome concert, the crowd was pretty good, the atmosphere was good, again wasnt special like it shoulda been for an opening in my opinion...

to summarize for you - I HAVE NEVER BEEN TO A BAD BON JOVI SHOW....i had really no idea what went down in Hull or whatever - but our band is too good to not deliver...

super succinct summary - its degrees of greatness - most live bands are no where near as good on their best days...ive seen jovi better than that is all and the setlists are causing me great fatigue

and one other point that bothers me lately is this, aside from the NSG audible, but still, this total over-reliance on a teleprompter...with the screens being as big as they its soooo obvious and if you cant remember the lyrics to your own songs if your pearl jam or the black crowes or any band that plays literally who knows what each night then maybe you have something there...if you cant rem the lyrics to your own songs and you are basically rotating less than 40....i find that more and more off-putting as i see him rely on it more and more...

for $170 some rehearsal would be great, even if you are playing a rariety - sit down and LEARN it - its YOUR song its supposed to MEAN something to you...

but...wait for it...always a good show awesome even if you step back from the nitpicking us die-hards get into and look at the big picture - im incredibly fortunate to see them whenever i do - i just might be going less now because of the reasons given...
