Default Support act for Bristol announced....

Ok so I attended the Battle of the Bands to choose a winner for the support slot for Bon Jovi last night.
The winning band were called GoldTrip. A few factors to bare in mind......

A lady connected with the band was seen chatting to all three judges before the band took to the stage.
Photo's of all the bands' 'followers' were taken and their names jotted down. This did not happen for any other band.
The band are not LOCAL - this was a comp for local talent.
There is high speculation that the band are SIGNED. This was meant to be a comp for unsigned acts only.
The music of GoldTrip out of all 6 bands was the least suited to a Jovi show. Any of the other five acts would have been perfect. After talking to many people after the show and even today they are all in agreement that this was the worst possible choice. Fix.
There is huge uproar today, a chance for a geniune local rock band to live their dream has been taken away. What an utter shame.

This is often the case with these things!

We've entered the Edinburgh one...it's "Bon Jovi" management who decide....

They asked for a demo and live footage...who knows...?!?

We're called "The Toi" so look out for us...we're heading your way soon...and if we get to the public vote please tick us

Don't think we're getting one which baffles me really. At a time when ticket prices are higher than ever I don't get it. when you think of the class support we've seen like MB20, NB, Van Halen, Skink Anansie, Billy Idol and although I'm not a massive fan, Live grew on me loads.

Christ, that would be really poor if they didn't put out a real support band.

Just look at U2, they put on a good 3-4 well known acts to warm the crowd up.

I'm getting more and more glad that I haven't bought a ticket yet.

I can't remember a tour I've felt less excited about :s More looking forward to seeing good friends and some new cities, If I were just in it for the shows I'd have prob sold my tickets by now.

I feel ya.

I'm just hoping Richie comes back, then I'll probably book up but I'll still be pissed there's no decent support.

Just more time in the pub I suppose

Well if the tour improves and you fancy Dublin, gimme a shout. My mate can't go so depending on how good/shit Munich is they'll get sold.
