TBC: 05.07.2005 in LINZ/AUSTRIA

it's only a rumour... but it seems to base on hard evidence: BJ are to confirm a date in LINZ/AUSTRIA on 05/july/2005- appearently they're countin that have a nice day (or whatever the new album will be called) won't be a success- the stadium in linz captures bout 20,000 ppl... though they haven't managed to sell out the 55,000 arena in Vienna but they ever attracted some 45,000 ppl... so i really can't understand why they're switching the stadiums... more unlogical is the fact that we built here some arenas for the EURO 2008 which capture 30,000 seats which would make bout 40,000 places for concerts...
but let's wait and see...

I actually can't believe that they would play there. Although when I was talking to the Universal BJ Manager, I asked him if they are going to do the Germany/Vienna/Germany thing again. He smiled and said "well sort off - and smiled". So I already got the feeling that they wont be in Vienna the next time!
He also said that all venues are blocked already so it might be true. Were is this rumor coming from?

but I don´t know how reliable this page is cause this date isnt official yet and also the U2 date there isnt official yet.

planning a tour is making a schedule and contracts with the arenas... they're not gonna tell anything bout the dates till all dates and venues are fixed... the rumour bout bj playing on july 5th in linz has also appeared in the medias in austria... in a newspaper someone wrote bout what's going to be up in linz in 2005 and that guy wrote something like "on july 5th us-rockstars bon jovi will most likely play in the gugl-stadium" meaning the guys from the stadium and the bjmanagement have agreed on that date and a contract will be fixed soon (if it isn't signed by now)

I can't really belive that they would come to Linz out of all places Wouldn't Vienna be a wiser decision? Surely they could attract a larger market there? (Also considering the new EU member states...)

I hope they dont come before August :P

Maybe they come to Budapest so Vienna wouldnt be sold out in that case...
