What a joyful thread. It's like getting the toy you've always wanted for Christmas and then when you finally open get it out of the box you find out it doesn't take the batteries you have.

Jon's mic being far too low in the mix at the start of 'Prayer (when used as an opener). In Manchester it didn't kick in at all til 'Gina works the diner....'

Dave's mic being far too low in IBTFY (I wasn't there when you were happy etc.)

Dave and Richie's Mics being far too low at the start of the second verse of WGIGO ('You got a ticket to kick it....' etc and 'Tonight, you got the right.....'). You could barely even hear them at the end of the line when the sound guys realised.

Daves gain on his S58 being too high for the run down right before the second verse in Dry County meaning it sounded very distorted.

Whilst i'm at it, has anybody ever, ever heard The Distance live with Dave's Keyboards being audible when the song kicks in? It's always Richie's power chords......pisses me off for some reason lol.

Maybe I only notice these things because stuff like that interests me but whatever. Thoughts anyone?

Dave

i know I'm a bit late in replying to this, but just for the record, Obie had nothing to do with the sound at the shows as he wasn't there!

Obie was the main sound man during the Crush tour but after that they hired other people to do it as Obie was needed in the studio to work on other stuff.
