After the first show I liked three songs and Ed's body
After the second, I liked all the songs except Lakein... (which I still do and don't) And was telling people I'm becoming a fan by HP. And still liked Ed's body
After the third, I was becoming converted. I liked Ed's body even more and had a banner saying so
After the fourth, I was raving about them. Also started to like the guitarist.
By the eighth, I was a fan And had banners for them

"Our band's called Live, we have a new album out. This is the first single, it's called Heaven" *frantic scream*

i preferred Mike McRock's response:

Quote:
"And we're LIVE"

"and for those of you who didnt know...we're LIVE"

"and we're LIVE"

"we hope soo see you soon, we're LIVE by the way"
"Do you want a medal or something?"

i remember toploader, delirious and matchbox 20 all saying the same thing. It really is a cheap-shot to get a bit applause from the audience just to mention the name "jon bon jovi"

Having said that most of my favourite guitarists and musicians I saw as support acts (uli jon roth, michael schenker, glenn hughes) and so i can't be too hypocritical. At W-ton i hated Live! and honestly thought they were a joke. These two 30+ year old women started talking to me and Mike (hearing mcrock moaning) about how "it's not like the old days with Skid Row" and "Van Halen... now there was a support act"... then her husband came over and said to Mike something like "Mine's a pint love, you've pulled"

London i thought they were okay... he has an ok voice in the Michael Stipe category of singers, but it's no rock voice at all - too clean. I thought the music was a little unimaginative, though some of the lyrics seemed ok. My conclusion was that if there was anything good to be said about the band it was the vocalist and perhaps he should be in another band or just doing solo stuff.

As for the guitarist: well give me 6 months and i can teach anyone to play better than that. Drummer was pretty standard, and bass player was a bass player.

In the first shows (which I saw) Ed said RunAway and got huge applauses so he changed it to Run....Away.

I liked them too. Maybe not as fast as Laura and in Munich I was actually sitting down during their performance because I wasn't feeling too well. But by HP I liked them very much and downloaded a few songs when I got back home. If anyone has a bootleg from this tour, I'd be interested

Yeah - u r right I think they brought the New Jersey thing in to get a cheer :P

Although to be fair to them - they only mentioned Bon Jovi once per set I belive. Whereas MB20 said it before, during & after every song....

you could have a one man karaoke show at a Bon Jovi concert and as long as they say "thanks to Jon", "the bon jovi guys are cool", "i'm sure you're all waiting for.... BON JOVI", or "thanks, bon jovi are coming up next" or "we're from new jersey"

then they are gonna get a cheer (regardless of how bad they are)

I knew Live before touring. One of my daughters who went with me to Erfort( hester) was totally crazy about them, knew all the songs and she is no BJ fan at all. She just came because I liked her around.
Anyway we had to drive for hours and we played soem livesongs i th ecar. After hearing these songs about 10 times I started to like them( or got used to them) and when they perform...I was surprised. They were great!
So from the first show on, I was looking forward to see them..and I was dissapointed when we had someone else like in Amsterdam.

So...Live rockes!!!
