Default That anti-climatic post-gig feeling

Monday mornings are bad enough at the best of times, but they are always worse after seeing Bon Jovi at the weekend. I always feel a bit down a few days after seeing them play. The anticipation has been building for months, the shows are usually great, Saturday's beyond great, but then there is nothing, Bon Jovi related anyway. It'll pass soon and I have Iron Maiden to look forward to in August. It's just that, like most people here, Bon Jovi have been such a huge part of life, for over 25 years now, and seeing them play is pretty much up there as the highlight of my year. I think because it's so nice out and I'm stuck in the office I'm feeling it more than ever. Thank goodness for Bon Jovi playing in my office!

Anyone else feel like this when it's all finished?

Summed it up completely. I immediately look to see if i can afford tickets for any more gigs coming up, and then resign myself to the fact i'll have to wait for the next tour

I'm just sitting doing some work and listening to Saturdays full recording on repeat! Its making me feel better at least!

If I went to Hyde Park show, I would still be ecstatic to have been to one of their best shows in London ever with a fantastic setlist with nearly all biggest fan favorites instead of being upset that it's all over now.

But speaking of this feel, it was different to me. I saw them for the first time in O2 last year twice and after the second show was over and they were doing the final bow, I was thinkin to myself "allright boys, that's it for now, see you next year". I'd rather look foward and enjoy the oppurtunity to see my fav band, because I live so far from anywhere they ever tour, so I don't take these gigs for granted. Now, they're most likely not gonna do anything for a couple of years, so I guess it's gonna be tougher to know you're not gonna see them for a while. However, I can already start looking foward to their return after a much needed break. I'm very curious to see how their music is gonna change considering how previous 2 breaks had effected them and gave them different creative directions. Plus, other stuff, like Superbrawl 2014 performance, possible Glastonbury headline (if the U2/Jovi rumours are true) and the fact than I'm going to be at least 20 years old when they tour Europe, therefore, hopefully, I'll be able to travel and see them on my own and friends not depending on family.

You're absolutely right, that's a far better way to look at it. Probably has more to do with being back at work where nobody cares about the concert, though they ask out of courtesy and then look glassy eyed when I start waxing lyrical about how great it was!

I am so pleased I was at Hyde Park, we had a brilliant time and all that of course. BUT I do know what you mean! The build-up and excitement is fun, the show is amazing then BAM it's over!

This is the worst I've been actually and I think it's down to the quality of the show plus talk of this 2 year break. I think the better the show, the worse the come-down!!!

Some of us are traveling to Europe to finish out the tour just so those Madison Square Garden shows were not our last. I understand all too well.

Same thing happens with Bruce (for me anyway).

I've been eyeing up your sig graphics with green eyes for months now! One day I'd love to be able to do multiple shows, just circumstances won't allow that at the moment. I've only ever done one show per tour. If they are having a few years off then at least I have time to save up! I'd love to see a few shows and meet everyone from JT too.

I did one local show per tour for years when I had little kids. It's all the budget would allow. Now that they are adults and there is more money around, it has turned out that this is what I spend it on, Bon Jovi and Bruce. It's not what I would have predicted years ago LOL.
